Big Little Things – Playing With This Fun Animal Stamp Set – Crafting with Ashee – Independent Stampin’ Up! Demo – Lincoln UK

I’m sharing two clean and stylish cards today that showcase the Big Little Things stamp set, and I have to say, this set is full of personality! These fun animal images are perfect for a wide range of occasions and work beautifully with patterned paper and bold colour accents.

For these cards, I’ve kept the layout simple but impactful, letting the stamped images take centre stage while adding texture and interest with layers and dies.

Card Design Details

Both cards start with a Basic Black card base, which gives a strong, modern frame and really helps the lighter elements stand out. I’ve used Boho Vibes DSP as the main background layer, choosing two different patterns to show how versatile this paper pack is.

The focal images are stamped using the Big Little Things stamp set and cut out with the Perennial Postage dies. I love the postage-style edge these dies create – they instantly add detail without needing any extra embellishments.

To give the cards a pop of colour, I’ve layered the focal panels onto Melon Mambo cardstock. This bright accent lifts the monochrome palette and adds a fun, playful feel that suits the animal images perfectly.

Finishing Touches

The sentiments are taken from the Greetings to You stamp set, which is a go-to for me when I want something clean and easy to read. They pair beautifully with the images without overpowering the design.

Overall, these cards are great examples of how you can mix bold cardstock, patterned paper, and simple stamping to create eye-catching designs that work for lots of occasions – from thank you cards to congratulations and beyond.

Why I Love This Stamp Set

What I really enjoy about Big Little Things is how adaptable it is. You can keep things minimal like I’ve done here, or step it up with colouring, embossing, or extra layers. It’s a brilliant set to have on hand when you need a quick card that still feels special.

Beautiful Floral Design Birthday Card – Extraordinary Flora – With You In Mind – Crafting with Ashee – Independent Stampin’ Up! Demo – UK

A Soft and Elegant Floral Birthday Card Idea

Today I’m sharing a Beautiful Floral Design Birthday Card that’s perfect for anyone who loves soft florals and clean, layered designs. This card style is ideal for birthdays and can easily be adapted for other occasions simply by changing the sentiment.

The design focuses on letting the florals do all the talking, creating a balanced layout that feels both fresh and elegant.

With You In Mind Stamp Set

The sentiment on these cards comes from the With You In Mind stamp set. I love how versatile this stamp set is, and the “Happy Birthday” greeting works beautifully with floral designs. It’s bold enough to stand out while still complementing the softer background elements.

Layering the sentiment panel adds a lovely focal point and helps draw the eye straight to the greeting.

Extraordinary Flora Washi Tape Technique

For the florals, I’ve used the Extraordinary Flora washi tape, which is such a fun and time-saving product to craft with. I pulled a full sheet directly from the roll and adhered it to Basic White cardstock. This gives the washi tape extra stability and makes it perfect for die cutting.

Using the matching die, I was able to die cut all of the floral images in one single pass of the cutting machine, which is both quick and satisfying. It’s a brilliant technique if you want lots of detailed florals without spending hours stamping and colouring.

Two Colour Combinations to Inspire You

I’ve created two versions of this card to show how easily the design can be changed with different colour choices.

The first card uses a Strawberry Slush card base, which adds a warm and cheerful feel to the design. The florals pop beautifully against this background and feel perfect for a classic birthday card.

The second card features a deeper, richer look using Blackberry Bliss paired with Berry Burst. This combination gives the card a slightly more dramatic feel while still keeping it feminine and floral.

Both colourways work wonderfully and show how adaptable this layout is.

A Design That’s Easy to Recreate

This floral birthday card design is simple to recreate and great for batch making. The washi tape and die cutting method means you can prepare multiple floral pieces in one go, making it ideal if you like to craft ahead or need several birthday cards ready to go.

It’s also a lovely way to showcase patterned florals without overwhelming the card front.

A Soft Vintage Card Using Gallery Blooms

If you love a soft, time-worn look on your handmade cards, you’re going to adore today’s project. This vintage-style card utilises the beautiful Gallery Blooms stamp set, focusing on layered texture, gentle ink blending, and distressed details to achieve an elegant, aged finish.

The overall design is simple, but the combination of techniques really brings this card to life, making it perfect for a wide range of occasions.

Creating the Vintage Background

For the card front, I stamped directly onto the Beautiful Gallery DSP, which already has a wonderful artistic feel. To enhance the vintage look, I ink blended the DSP, keeping the colour darker at the edges. This gives the card a vignette feel while keeping the focus on the main image.

To take the vintage effect even further, I distressed the edges of the DSP. This small step makes such a difference and really adds to the aged, well-loved appearance of the card.

Focal Image with Aged Detail

The floral image from Gallery Blooms is the star of this card. I stamped it onto Basic Beige cardstock and then carefully ink blended over the image to match the background tones. This ties everything together beautifully and keeps a cohesive design.

Layering the focal image onto the card front adds dimension without overwhelming the soft, vintage feel. It’s a great technique if you want impact while still keeping things subtle and elegant.

Measurements

  • Pecan Pie Cardstock – A6 Card Base – This is an A4 sheet cut in half and then folded in half.
  • Basic Beige Cardstock – 14.35cm X 10cm X 2 pieces
  • Gallery Blooms designer series paper – 13.85cm X 9.5cm.

Finishing Touches

The sentiment comes from the Endless Love stamp set and works perfectly with this design. Its simple style complements the vintage look without distracting from the floral image.

Every element of this card has been chosen to enhance that aged, gallery-inspired aesthetic, making it a timeless design that can be adapted for many occasions.

Endless Love – Make this Die-Cut Valentine Card. Made with Love. Crafting with Ashee – Independent Stampin’ Up! Demo. Lincoln UK.

Valentine’s Day is the perfect excuse to get creative with hearts, colour, and texture, and this Endless Love die-cut Valentine card ticks all the boxes. With bold layers, pretty patterned paper, and a timeless sentiment, this card design is ideal for sharing love with someone special.

I’ve created two versions of the same design to show how easily you can change the look of a card simply by switching up the card base and colour placement.

Endless Love – Make this Die-Cut Valentine Card. Made with Love. Crafting with Ashee – Independent Stampin’ Up! Demo. Lincoln UK.

Stamp Set & Dies

This card uses the Endless Love stamp set, paired with the matching die set, which makes creating a standout focal point incredibly easy. The large heart die creates instant impact, while the coordinating stamps add interest without overwhelming the design.

Using stamps and dies together is one of my favourite ways to achieve a professional-looking finish with minimal effort.

Colour Palette

For this project, I’ve used a classic Valentine colour combination:

  • Flirty Flamingo
  • Real Red

These two colours work beautifully together, balancing soft romance with a bold pop of colour that really draws the eye.

Designer Series Paper

Both cards feature Made with Love Designer Series Paper, which adds subtle pattern and texture to the background. The small heart details in the paper complement the die-cut heart perfectly and help tie the whole design together.

Two Card Variations

To show how versatile this design is, I made two versions of the card:

  • First card: Strawberry Slush card base
  • Second card: Real Red card base

On the second card, the heart is Flirty Flamingo, which stands out beautifully against the Real Red background and gives the card a softer, more romantic feel.

Keeping the layout the same while changing the card base is a great way to make multiple cards quickly without them all looking identical.

Measurements

  • Basic White Cardstock – 14.35cm X 10cm X 2 pieces
  • Made with Love designer series paper (DSP) – 13.85cm X 9.5cm.

Why This Card Works

This design is simple yet striking. The large die-cut heart creates a strong focal point, the DSP adds interest without distraction, and the sentiment finishes it off perfectly. It’s a lovely card style for Valentine’s Day, anniversaries, or anytime you want to send a heartfelt message.

Made With Love – Birthday Card Design. Mini Alphabet Dies – Crafting with Ashee – Independent Stampin’ Up! Demo – Lincoln UK

Creating handmade birthday cards is such a lovely way to show someone you care, and today I’m sharing a simple but eye-catching Made With Love – Birthday Card Design. This design is clean, bold, and easy to adapt, making it perfect for batch card making or when you want something stylish without lots of layers.

Both cards use the same layout but with the colours swapped around, proving just how versatile this design can be.

Made With Love - Birthday Card Design. Mini Alphabet Dies - Crafting with Ashee - Independent Stampin' Up! Demo - Lincoln UK

Mini Alphabet Die Sentiment

The “Happy Birthday” sentiment on both cards is created using mini alphabet dies, which add a fun, modern look to the card front. I love how alphabet dies allow you to customise your cards and create sentiments that really stand out.

For the first card, the base is Strawberry Slush, with the sentiment die cut in Real Red. The large heart is also cut from Strawberry Slush, keeping the look coordinated while still allowing the sentiment to pop.

On the second card, the colours are reversed. This time, the Real Red card base creates a bold frame, with the sentiment cut from Strawberry Slush. The heart is cut in Real Red, tying everything together beautifully. Swapping the colours gives a completely different feel while using exactly the same layout.

Made With Love - Birthday Card Design. Mini Alphabet Dies - Crafting with Ashee - Independent Stampin' Up! Demo - Lincoln UK
Made With Love – Birthday Card Design. Mini Alphabet Dies – Crafting with Ashee – Independent Stampin’ Up! Demo – Lincoln UK

Made with Love Designer Series Paper

The patterned strips at the top and bottom of each card are cut from the Made with Love Designer Series Paper. This DSP is perfect for birthday cards, especially when you want something cheerful, bright, and full of heart. The repeating heart patterns add interest without overpowering the focal sentiment.

Using DSP in narrow strips like this is a great way to use up smaller pieces while still making a big impact on your card design.

Finishing Touches

To finish off each card, I added shiny red heart confetti from my stash. These tiny embellishments add just the right amount of sparkle and dimension, catching the light beautifully without distracting from the main design.

This is a great reminder that you don’t always need fancy embellishments—sometimes those little leftover pieces in your stash are exactly what a card needs.

A Versatile Birthday Card Layout

This layout is one you’ll want to save and use again. It works brilliantly with different colour combinations, sentiments, and patterned papers, making it a go-to design for birthdays throughout the year. You could easily change the colours to suit the recipient or swap the sentiment for another occasion.

If you enjoy clean designs with bold sentiments and a touch of pattern, this card style is definitely one to try.

Monochromatic Design with Impact

The background features Designer Series Paper from the family packs, which include all the Stampin’ Up! colours. Staying within the Berry Burst colour family keeps the design unified while still allowing variation and interest through pattern and tone.

Monochromatic cards are fantastic when you want something eye-catching without overwhelming the design, and this one proves just how effective that approach can be.

Pretty Florals Two-Step Stamping

The floral images come from the Pretty Florals stamp set, paired with the matching dies for easy cutting and clean results. This is a two-step stamp set, which makes it simple to add depth and detail to the flowers. Layering the images creates beautiful dimension without needing complicated techniques, making it ideal for both beginners and experienced crafters.

The florals add softness and movement to the card while keeping the overall design balanced and uncluttered.

Clean and Simple Sentiment

The sentiment is taken from the Encircled with Love stamp set and cut out using the matching punch. I love how this sentiment stands out against the patterned background while still complementing the monochromatic theme. The circular shape draws the eye to the centre of the card and ties everything together beautifully.

This combination makes the card versatile, quick to assemble, and perfect for batch-making when you need birthday cards ready to go.

measurements

A Quick and Easy Birthday Card Idea

This card is a great example of how you can create something striking with minimal supplies and effort. By focusing on colour, pattern, and simple layering, you can achieve a polished look that works for almost any birthday recipient.

If you enjoy quick makes that don’t compromise on style, this design is definitely one to save and recreate.

Sometimes the simplest techniques create the most striking cards, and today’s Thinking of You cards are a perfect example of that. By stamping directly onto patterned paper, you can achieve depth, atmosphere, and impact with very little effort – ideal for quick makes or batch card making.

For these cards, I’ve used the Peaceful View stamp set. This is a single, beautifully detailed stamp that does all the hard work for you. The silhouetted scene creates instant drama and works wonderfully when stamped straight onto designer series paper.

Stamp on Patterned Paper for Instant Impact

Both cards feature Beautiful Bokeh DSP, which provides a soft, dreamy background that really enhances the silhouette image. Stamping directly onto patterned paper saves time and allows the background to shine through, adding texture and interest without extra layers.

The first card uses Calypso Coral tones, stamped in Night of Navy. This combination creates a softer, almost twilight feel while still keeping the image bold and defined.

For the second card, I switched to Daffodil Delight DSP and stamped the image in Memento Tuxedo Black. This gives a stronger contrast and a brighter, uplifting look, showing just how versatile this single stamp can be.

A Simple Sentiment Finishes the Card

To keep the focus on the stamped scene, I added a small sentiment from the Greetings for You ephemera pack. These pre-cut sentiments are perfect when you want a clean, polished finish without extra stamping or die cutting.

Both cards are ideal for sending a thoughtful message, whether someone needs a little encouragement or you simply want to let them know you’re thinking of them.
