This is a Focus Friday Post. This month we are looking at all things die-cutting. This week the technique is Inlaid die-cutting. This allows you to have different colours in your die cut while maintaining a flat surface with no dimension.

Welcome to this Focus Friday project. Today we are looking at using dies to create your own stencils. I used the Basic Border dies to make this stencil. I then used my blending brush to create this lovely border on the card. Above you can see the Melon Mambo version and below is the Bermuda Bay one. Which do you like best?

This is a card we made in a recent card club. I host a virtual card club in my Facebook group each month. This is a cute double easel card using the Rings of Love Designer Series Paper (DSP). The pattern has an autumnal theme and I though the little hedgehog matched perfectly with it.

Red Fox – Make a Simple Card Today!! – Stylish Sketches – Watercolouring – Crafting with Ashee = Independent Stampin’ Up! Demo – Lincoln – UK

This fox looks a lot redder in the photo than he does in real life. I coloured him using a water painter and Cajun Craze ink pad. You can mix colours to colour the little fox in as well. The grass is Old Olive and the sky is Balmy Blue. I love playing with colours. It’s such fun.

This was a project we made in a recent card club. I host a monthly card line online in my Facebook Group. We gather together virtually once a month to have lots of crafty fun.

This card has a cute pocket on the front of the card to hold a tag or gift card. It’s therefore practical and decoration all in one. I love how this card turned out. I used the Timeless Tile background stamp to give some tonal interest in the background. The background was too plain otherwise for my tastes. This is a Focus Friday card. This month we have been looking at using background and large stamps in our cardmaking.

This is a card we made recently in card club. I host an online card in my Facebook group each month. You receive a kit that includes everything you need to make cards just like this one.

This card uses only designer series paper (DSP) and die cuts. So effective!!! The juxtaposition of the dark Sunprints DSP and the white dies, really make each pop so well.

The colours I’ve used here are Tahitian Tide (blue) and Sweet Sorbet. I love blue and red/pink together. They really make each other pop. Everything is hand stamped. I love stamping my own backgrounds as you can tailor them to exactly our own tastes.
