I had a little story in my mind when I designed this card. The little green birdie was coming to tell Mr Red he’d passed his fledgling test and was now a fully qualified bird. Mr Red was congratulating him on passing with flying colours. Yes, I know the story was ridiculous but I just like the idea of these two birds twittering away together.

I love creating scene cards. All the stamps for this card come from just one set, Sweetsong Birds. I’ve added extra interest to the card with the basic borders die. It just sets off the gingham paper beautifully.

As I can write this in Lincoln the wind is blowing its guts out. I was thinking of any little birds and thinking the poor mites would be blown away if they weren’t careful.

This card has a lovely spring feel to it. Baby birds are one of the quintessential marks of spring as are new fresh green leaves. This card combines both of these.

I made these two colour ways. Above is Sweet Sorbet and below is Tahitian Tide. Which do you like better? In the summer the dawn chorus starts up around 4 am and boy they are loud!! We have lots of hedges and trees around us and the birds love it.
