Painted Christmas Easy Gift Bag – Celebrate with Tags – Crafting with Ashee – Independent Stampin’ Up! Demo – Lincoln UK.

These fat-bottomed gift bags are easy to make. This one has a magnetic closure. The magnets are hidden behind the patterned paper. I’ve used a sentiment on the front but you could equally stamp a name and use these as place markers at the table. They would be lovely with some homemade fudge as a goodie bag as well.

I will confess this wasn’t my idea. I was struggling with an idea for a little gift box and so of course I went hunting on Pinterest for inspiration. So, I saw this cute gift box and this is my version. Thank you so much to whoever thought of this first, I love it.

What sweets or chocolates would you put in this cutie? I have to say I don’t eat much chocolate or sweets unless I’m having a period of low blood sugar called a hypo. I’m a type 1 diabetic by the way. I never can match my insulin to the sugar in sweets so just avoid it. It’s just easier for me since I don’t have a sweet tooth. If I had to chose I would put in celebrations though. Let me know your choices!

Penguin Place and the free DSP I got in SAB – Independent Stampin’ Up Demonstrator based in Lincoln UK.

Yes I know it’s a Christmas scene but it is penguins!!! A friend of mine said that penguins are just for Christmas so we will have penguins today. This card has a hidden little flap on the front of the card. It’s held closed with a magnet and has a little ribbon pull. So cute.

I got this paper free during Sale-a-Bration (SAB). It matches the Penguin Place stamp set and punch that is in the new mini catalogue. So cute!!! During SAB you can a free item for every £45 you spend. So you save as you spend, a win-win for me.

How cute are these? I struggled with the design for a cute little box for ages and then made this design my mistake and decided to stick with it. The pretty paper is from the Sweet Symmetry suite and gives this project a lovely summer vibe. I did two colour ways, Just Jude and Calypso Coral. Which do you like best? As you may know I’m not a fan of fancy fold cards. Having said that, I’m trying to push myself our of my comfort zone and do more. This turned out quite well I think. The card is kept closed using a magnet hidden behind the sentiment. Pink and red are not colours that people put together very often but if done well as here, it looks good.

This is a lovely rectangle gift box that has a magnetic closure. It would be perfect to hold a piece of jewellery. Rococo Rose is one of the in-colours that is retiring later this year. I have quite a bit of cardstock and patterned paper in this colour and want to start to use it up, hence this box.

Make a Magnetic Closure Christmas Gift Box

Make a Magnetic Closure Christmas Gift Box – Brightly Gleaming – Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator based in Lincoln UK.

I’ve used the Brightly Gleaming designer series paper (DSP) here to make these cute little gift boxes. I think the copper foiling really pops against both the Real Red and Melon Mambo pink. These boxes were both made using scraps of DSP from making another gift box which I will feature shortly on this blog.

I used small neodymium earth magnets that I got online for the magnetic closure. I covered both with some DSP so that the magnets were not so strong. The stamp set is Wrapped in Christmas and has some matching dies as well. This sentiment also matches the 1 1/2″ circle punch perfectly as well. I love punches and tend to use them rather than dies whenever I can.

Best Dressed Floral Bag – Stampin’ Up!

I have another cute bag for you using the Best Dressed Designer Series Paper (DSP), hence the name best dressed floral bag.

The Best Dressed DSP has makeup and fashion themed patterns on one side and on other are these amazing floral designs. I am quite a tomboy and makeup and fashion have never held much attraction to me. I love the florals though.

This box is what I call pencil case style. It has a magnetic closure but it is the DSP that makes it sing to me. I love this pattern, it is so happy. What are your favourite styles of patterned paper?

I know some people find box making quite difficult to do so I made a template but I will also give you the measurements here.

Easy to make gift bag perfect for a little tea bag and chocolate.

The project I want to share with you today is this gift bag with a easy magnetic closure. I made a version of this made my card club and they loved it!!

I love making little bags like this to give small gifts. I think we all need a little gift sometimes to remind us that we are loved and that people around us do care about us.

The rose and butterfly pattern on this paper is gorgeous. I have a beautiful red rose that is now in flower outside my front door and it gives me great pleasure every time i see it. I do love flowers and butterflies and like a lot of crafters I am a sucker for stamp set or paper that is floral in nature.

Initially when I saw the Mosaic Mood DSP in the catalogue I wasn’t too impressed with it but the more I use it the more I fall in love with it. I love the fact the mosaic has an embossed feel to it and the patterns are so versatile and beautiful. Here is the link to another project using this lovely paper.

I do love flowers but I have to say that I also enjoy growing food that I can eat. I’ve planted out some carrots, tomatoes and lettuce today and hope to be enjoying home grow salads soon.
