This is a very simple way to stretch your suppliers. I have only used one piece of designer series paper but have used both sides by creating these little rectangles. This gives added interest to the background of my card. You can make it more complicated depending on how you cut your paper.

I’ve paired the background with a birthday sentiment from a great set called “Go to Greetings”. Truthfully it really is a go-to for greetings. The dies are the new Nested Essential dies. I love having different-shaped dies to cut out my sentiments. Just adds some extra interest to the card.

I love all the pretty purples in this card. The Colour & Contour stamp set has a sketchy feel to it. This is great as you don’t have to be perfect lining up your two-step stamping. It will always look great. My favourite stamp in this is the splatter stamp. It just adds something extra to the background, almost like pollen floating through the air.

How to Create a Seascape Card – Waves of Inspiration – Crafting with Ashee – Independent Stampin’ Up! Demo – Lincoln UK

This stamp set is Waves of Inspiration. I’ve had it in my stash and hardly used it in the last year. Last year I wanted to make sure I used all the stamps I bought and managed that. This year, not only do I want to use them but use them more than a couple of times. Are you going to join me?

I double-stamped my waves so that I could get a variation in colour. I used a blending brush to add extra detail and blend the colours. This is a card we made in card club in Lincoln UK. If you want to join me for the next one, check out all the details here.

Make a Fun Hedgehog Card – Phrases for All – Crafting with Ashee – Independent Stampin’ Up! Demo – Lincoln UK

I was closing the blinds in the Orangery the other day and I saw a cute little hedgehog in the garden. He or She was in the middle of the grass just snuffling about. He looked so content and happy. It is heartwarming to see wildlife feeling safe and happy in our garden. This inspired me to create this sweet card.

I used the hedgehog punch and added detail using the black Stampin’ Write marker for the facial details. I sponged around the hedgehogs to create some shadows and make them look more dimensional.

The paper used here is Zoo Crew. On one side it has lots of little critters but on the other side of the paper are all these fabulous black and white designs. They are perfect for card backgrounds.

I’ve used the countryside corners dies to create this fun tuck spot with a little tag for a secret message.

I love making z fold cards. They are so easy to make. This is a double z fold horizontal card. The one above is Pretty Peacock and Coastal Cabana and below is Calypso Coral. Which do you prefer?

The little stamped hearts are from the set called Phrases for All. They aren’t the main focus of the set but are so useful. Sometimes I think we ignore the smaller stamps in the set as they don’t always appear to “sing” the loudest.

The paper is delightlfully eclectic. I love the swans and these berries above. So cute. You can see the image below why its called a double z fold card.

How to Make a Daisy Card Today – Cheerful Daisies – Stampin’ Blend Alcohol Markers – Crafting with Ashee – Independent Stampin’ Up Demo – UK

As I am sure I’ve said many a time, daisies hold a special place in my heart. My granny had a yellow daisy bush in her garden and I’ve many pictures of it growing up. They are such happy flowers and of course, they are related to sunflowers.

I coloured these daisies using the Stampi’ Blend alcohol markers. I inked the background in Balmy Blue, which really makes the yellow / orange of the daisies pop.

measurements

  • Panels of Pecan Pie, Pumpkin Pie and Basic White Cardstock that fit the background panel at your chosen angles.

Isn’t this little bunny having fun in the rain? It reminds me of children and puddles. They are drawn to them like a magnet. I love watching them so free and happy playing in the puddles. Good fun!!

These images are coloured in using the Stampin’ Blend alcohol markers. They are easy to colour. I made a mask of the bunny rabbit so that I could stamp the raindrops and not have them cover the image. To create the mask I just stamped the image on some masking paper and then fussy cut it out. I save the masks for future use in the front of my stamp case.

How to Use 1 Design – Get 2 Distinct Cards – Go To Greetings – Fresh as Daisy – Crafting with Ashee – Independent Stampin’ Up! – Lincoln UK

This is a simple design. It is what I call an equal panel design as each panel is the size as the rest. Here I’ve used it in a horizontal design. The pattern does match across the 3 panels and this does add to the overall effect.

Below I’ve used the same design but now in a vertical format. It gives a totally different effect but is essentially the same design. Which do yo prefer?
