I love the Perennial Postage dies. These could be used as individual frames but I wanted to design a card where I could use many of these in one card. This is what I came up with.

Measurements

  • Calypso Coral Cardstock – A6 Card Base – This is an A4 sheet cut in half and then folded in half
  • Basic White Cardstock – 14.35cm x 10cm

This card has no stamping, it is all die-cutting. The gorgeous paper, Flight & Airy is a freebie from Sale-a-bration (SAB). You can choose a free item from the SAB catalogue for every qualifying purchase.

The sentiment is from a favourite die set, “Wanted to Say”. I’ve used both the shadow and the outline here to ensure the sentiment pops from the busy background.

I used the Most Adored Designer Series Paper (DSP) to make these lovely birthday cards. This is a freebie during Sale-a-bration (SAB). For every qualifying purchase you can choose a free item from the SAB catalogue and this was one of my choices.

You can see below the second card in the shuffle. I haven’t made up the third card as yet. You need to shuffle the pieces of paper around to the third position. The video tutorial below will explain it in more detail.

I love using layering stencils, they make a card so easily. Layering stencils also allow you to create extra depth and dimension. You can layer simple colours for even greater interest.

I normally use Basic White cardstock but I decided to change things up this time and use Crumb Cake. This is the first time I’ve done this and I am so happy with the effect. Do you stencil on coloured cardstock?

measurements

  • Early Espresso Cardstock – A6 Card Base. This is an A4 sheet cut in half and then folded in half.
  • Crumb Cake Cardstock – 14.35cm X 10cm
  • Very Vanilla Cardstock – 14.35cm X 10cm

I was inspired to make this card after watching a video on YouTube by Nichol Spohr. She used different products but I adapted it to what I had. I love the way it turned out.

It really isn’t difficult to achieve a seamless blended background. There are a number of tips I can give you. One is not to overload your blending brush, secondly, I tap off my brush on my grid paper before I start to blend and thirdly take your time going back and forwards between colours until you achieve something you are happy with.

The paper used here is Zoo Crew. On one side it has lots of little critters but on the other side of the paper are all these fabulous black and white designs. They are perfect for card backgrounds.

I’ve used the countryside corners dies to create this fun tuck spot with a little tag for a secret message.
