I do like the look of watercolouring with no harsh lines from stamping. It gives the whole image a softer appearance. There are a number of ways to achieve this look. Today I show you a simple trick using clear heat embossing.

I stamped the image using versamark ink and heat embossed using clear powder. Now when you watercolour you won’t see the lines and the watercolour will resist the heat embossing allowing you to colour with no lines. One final tip is to use Shimmery White or watercolour cardstock as it will stand up to the water much better than Basic White cardstock.

  • Soft Succulent Cardstock – A6 Cardbase – This is an A4 sheet cut in half and then folded in half
  • Lovely Linen Designer Series Paper (DSP) – 14.35cm X 10cm
  • Basic White Cardstock – 14.35cm X 10cm
