Make it Simple – Birthday Card – Squares / Rectangle – Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator based in Lincoln UK.

This is a simple card design using squares and rectangles to create pops of colour and interest. I’ve used the Lace 3D embossing folder to emboss the basic white piece. It is absolutely gorgeous and gives a lovely deep emboss. The yellow; Daffodil Delight and the red; Poppy Parade go well together as they are in the same quadrant of the colour wheel. The overall effect is bright and sunny.

How to use Birds & Branches Stamp Set in a Card – Friendship Card – Independent Stampin’ Up Demonstrator based in Lincoln UK.

The Birds & Branches stamp set has sat in my stash for nearly a year unused. I wanted to use it but have always struggled to use birds in my cards. What do you think of this one? I think it really works with the sentiment.

The birds are stamped with the two- step stamping technique. This gives them their yellow and brown plumage. You could try any combinations of plumage of your choice but I preferred the So Saffron and Soft Suede. The foliage I die cut out of Mossy Meadow cardstock with adhesive sheet on the back. This made them super easy to stick down. If you have’t ever used adhesive sheet I would highly recommend you try it as it makes it so easy to stick down intricate die cuts.

Keeping it Simple – Primary Colours Thank You Card – Pretty Parasol- Independent Stampin’ Up Demonstrator based in Lincoln UK.

I love this idea of these balloon carrying this pretty parasol off into the wind. I’ve used only primary colours. They are Real Red, Pacific Point and Daffodil Delight. These colours all work well together and therefore don’t clash but really pop against the white.

I used a white gel pen on the parasol to give it some highlights with the dots. This makes the whole piece pop even more. It is a very easy and simple card to make using up scraps which is always a good thing.

measurements

  • Real Red A6 Cardbase. This is an A4 sheet cut in half and then folded in half
  • Whisper White – 14.35cm X 10cm

Make a Simple Thank You Card – Beauty Abounds stamp set – Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator based in Lincoln UK.

This is a super simple card to make. The background is stamped. I love stamping my own backgrounds as I can make them bespoke to me. I’ve used the Beauty Abounds set and these pretty bokeh style circles in Coastal Cabana. The deeper colour is Pretty Peacock and it goes so well with Coastal Cabana.

The butterflies from Butterfly Gala have a matching punch. I’ve picked up on the butterflies again with this cute little butterfly gems in Pretty Peacock. Easy Peasy!!

How to Make a Mason Jar Shaker Card – Colouring using the Stampin’ Blend Alcohol Markers – Independent Stampin’ Up Demonstrator based in Lincoln UK.

I normally struggle with shaker cards but this one was super easy to make and I was over the moon with how it turned out. How pretty is this card? These shaker mason jar domes are seriously cute. I’m definitely buying a few more packs to hoard. Everything is coloured in using the Stampin’ Blend alcohol markers. Colouring in is so therapeutic. It keeps me out of mischief for hours!!

The stamp set is Jars of Love. It comes with many different bunches of flowers and even the stems to stamp in the jar. I’ve fussy cut the flowers out and of course there is a matching mason jar punch.

A Little Lace – A Note to Say Hello – Card Tutorial – Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator based in Lincoln UK.

The stamp used here is a “A Little Lace”. It’s beautiful and I’ve used it a number of times in both cards and gift bags. It’s a great set to use to stamp your own patterned paper. You can make a bespoke design in just the colour and size you want.

The colours I used here are Mango Melody and Pumpkin Pie. It keeps it very tone on tone and yet it is still vibrant and colourful. The elegant faceted gems just give it that touch of bling to lift the whole card.

Simple and Elegant Card – Beautiful World – World of Good – Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator based in Lincoln UK

This is a a very simple card to make. The sentiment is so cute ” Life is a beautiful journey” and it finishes on the inside “Thank you being part of mine”. The paper is called World of Good and each sheet has brass foiling. I’ve matched it with the foiling sheet I used to mat the sentiment.

I hardly ever use Crumb Cake cardstock but is a great neutral colour which I need to start to use more don’t you think? It would be a great masculine card choice with this designer series paper. I’m trying to go out of my comfort zone and use different colour combinations.

measurements

  • Crumb Cake A6 Cardbase – This is an A4 sheet cut in half and then folded in half
  • World of Good designer series paper –
    • 14.35cm X 10cm,

I was so excited to see gilded flakes in the new mini catalogue. They are so much to play with. One world of warning is that once out of the pot they won’t go back in, they just seem to mushroom and grow. Consequently they last for ages. I put mine in a tin to keep the mess in.

There are a number of ways to use gilded flakes. In the video below I show you how to use it with heat & stick powder and versamark. You use it though with Tombow and tear & tape. I will show be doing these techniques in later videos so make sure you are subscribed to my YouTube to get alerts.

How to Make A Poppy Thank You Card – Painted Poppies – Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator based in Lincoln UK.

This is a really simple card to make but it is simply stunning if I do say so myself. The stamp set is Painted Poppies and the other aptly enough is Poppy Parade. When the poppy suite came out in the mini catalogue last year, I was in love. I’ve used it numerous times and I will be keeping this set forever, even after it perhaps retires. I will link some of the other projects I’ve used it in below.

I stamped the image of the poppies twice to get a long enough panel and then coloured them using the Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blend alcohol markers. Isn’t great how everything matches in the world of Stampin’ Up!

Measurements

  • Poppy Parade A6 Cardbase – This is an A4 sheet cut in half and then folded in half
  • Basic White – 14.35cm X 10cm
  • Poppy Parade designer series paper – 10.5cm X 8cm
