This project actually has no stamping in it. Shock, horror!! These little “milk cartons” are so cute and perfect for a little gift. The paper is the gorgeous “Flowers for Every Season”. I love the daisy pattern but of course the tulips trump them in my heart. The closure is a little bulldog clip. So dinky!!! The sentiment comes from the matching Memory & More cards. I just cut them out and stuck them on. Super easy.

Aren’t these little baskets cute? This wasn’t my idea, I found it on good old Pinterest and put my own spin on it. The paper is the super gorgeous Flowers for Every Season which I love. I want to make the most of this paper before it retires at the end of April. There is no stamping as the paper is so busy but you can of course add a stamped tag if you so wish.

I normally struggle with shaker cards but this one was super easy to make and I was over the moon with how it turned out. How pretty is this card? These shaker mason jar domes are seriously cute. I’m definitely buying a few more packs to hoard. Everything is coloured in using the Stampin’ Blend alcohol markers. Colouring in is so therapeutic. It keeps me out of mischief for hours!!

The stamp set is Jars of Love. It comes with many different bunches of flowers and even the stems to stamp in the jar. I’ve fussy cut the flowers out and of course there is a matching mason jar punch.

I’ve made this style of box many times. It is a pizza style box with the lid and sides that fold over. Very simple and easy to make. Misty Moonlight is the blue colour and what a blue!! It is not too light and not dark like Night of Navy, just the perfect mix. The ribbon of course matches and it a beautifully soft cotton ribbon that makes a bow even for those of us that are bow challenged!!

What Better Way to Say thank you, than with Flowers

What Better Way to Say thank you, than with Flowers. Thank you card Tutorial using products from Stampin’! Up!

I love the Flowers for Every Season designer series paper (DSP) but I wanted to find a different way to use it. I went on Pinterest to look for inspiration and I saw people using banners. Hence I made this thank you card.

What Better Way to Say thank you, than with Flowers

One of my goals this year is to use the product I have. I have a tendency like a lot of crafters to hoard product and not use what I buy. I love getting new stuff, but now I get, I need to use. My strategy is not always successful but I’m getting better at it. One thing I alway buy and never use are embossing folders. The one used here is the Lace 3D folder. Isn’t pretty? I’m so pleased I pulled it out and used it. I’ve many more ideas of how to use this pretty embossing folder.

Strips – Using Your Scraps – Stampin’ Up!

I love being able to use up my scraps. This card uses strips of patterned paper cut at wonky angles to create this great card. A great sentiment is all you need to finish off this card.

Strips - Using Your Scraps - Stampin' Up!
Strips – Using Your Scraps – Stampin’ Up!

This paper is the Flowers for Every Season Designer Series Paper (DSP). It is so pretty and I really enjoying using it time and time again. I’ve started to plan my mini album with this DSP to hold all my summer flower pictures from our own garden and all the surrounding villages.

I’ve long made cards using scraps but my upline Amanda Fowler showed me this technique using wonky cut pieces of paper and leaving gaps between each strip. It is quiet effective don’t you think?

I love driving around in the summer and seeing all the pretty gardens. The village of Nettleham, about 10 minutes from us is especially pretty. The local garden nursery sponsors hanging baskets outside various establishments and they always look amazing.

Thank you for coming by. I hope you enjoyed this card. The supply list and video tutorial are below. Until next time Enjoy Being Creative.

Flower Box – Cute little Birthday Gift Box

Hello again, I’m back with this cute little gift box to share with you. I love the Flowers for Every Season designer series paper (DSP). It is so pretty on this cute little flower box. I’ve already bought two packs of it!!

Flower Box - Cute little Birthday Gift Box
Flower Box – Cute little Birthday Gift Box

The overriding colour here is Misty Moonlight. It is one of the new 20-22 in-colours and fast becoming a personal favourite. These boxes are super easy to make. It is my mother’s birthday next week and I think I will be using them to put a few little gifts in. We can’t go out to eat as both of us are considered clinical vulnerable and to be honest, are too scared to go to a restaurant. I want to make the day special through some handmade items though.

measurements

  • Misty Moonlight – 6 7/16″ x 6 7/16″ score at 1 1/2″ on each side
  • Flowers for Every Season – 6″ X 6″, score at 1 1/4″ on each side

I love working with this DSP and I’m so glad that I have the whole next year to make projects with it. I really want to start on my mini album using this paper. It will be to show off all the beautiful photos of the flowers in our own garden and those I see in surrounding villages on my travels.

Thank you for visiting and I hope you enjoyed this project. I would love to see your creations as well. As always there is a video tutorial and supply list below. Until next time, Keep Being Creative!!

Pretty and Vibrant Flowers – Card Tutorial

I have a card to share with you today featuring these pretty and vibrant flowers from the Flowers For Every Season designer series paper (DSP). I love this paper. It is so gorgeous. I could not contain my excitement when I first opened it and the matching memory and more cards. It just sings to me!!

Pretty and Vibrant Flowers - Card Tutorial
Pretty and Vibrant Flowers – Card Tutorial

The blue in the background is the in colour Misty Moonlight. I think it is lovely. It is not as deep as night of navy but still a great neutral background for those lovers of blue. The flower are my favourite tulips. If you have been reading my blog you will know I am head over heels mad for tulips.

This card is one of my simple sentiment cards as I didn’t want to cover up my lovely tulips. I think sometimes we want to put do so many techniques and use up embellishments on a card that they become to busy and lose their wow factor.

measurements

  • A6 Misty Moonlight Cardbase – This is an A4 sheet cut in half and then folded in half
  • Flowers for Every Season DSP – 14.35cm x 10cm

I always do my blogs a few weeks ahead of time. As I am was creating this cards I watching the BBC coverage of the Chelsea Flower Show. Unfortunately Chelsea as cancelled this year but the BBC showed highlights of the last 10 years. It was nice but also poignant as it made me miss it all the more. When I lived in London I went to the flower show every year. I was hoping to go to the RHS flower show at Chatsworth House this year but again its cancelled so I will have to wait until next year.
