This is a lovely tonal birthday card. I’ve used the Countryside Corners stamp set to create these frames. It is one stamp but the dies allow you to cut out each individual frame. I store any spare frames with the stamp set in a little envelope. I’ve popped up everything up on dimensionals. It came out really well I think. Below is a different pattern, which do you prefer?

I love daisies. My grandmother always had a yellow daisy bush in her garden. I’ve tons of photos of me and the daisy bush. This card reminds me of her, even though she is long gone, I still love her to bits.

This is an easy two-step stamping set. The daisies are easy to line up, even without the now-retired Stamparatus. You just need to make sure you are looking straight down over your stamps. This makes lining up your stamps much easier. I’ve made this card in two different colour combinations. Which do you like better?

As you may know, I love floral and nature-related stamp sets. I, therefore, had to get his one on pre-order. I love that the branch can be used not just with the florals as I have done here but with leaves, the apple or even berries. It makes it so versatile for all seasons.

The stamp set has a matching die set which I used here. It means I can stamp the branch and pop up the flowers. This gives added interest to the card as well as creates a shadow so making the scene look more realistic.

How to Use the Amazing Phrases Stamp Set – Create a Border – Biggest Wish – Crafting with Ashee – Independent Stampin’ Up! Demo – UK

Amazing Phrases is one of the free sets I got during Sale-a-bration. It has lots of sayings but I focused on the two words, amazing and hey. I stamped them around the edge of my paper to create this fun border for my focal sentiment. The card is very tonal but you could have equally stamped in versamark and heat embossed in the colour of your choice.

Make the Best of Your Scraps – Using Strips – Peaceful Moments – Focus Friday – Crafting with Ashee – Independent Stampin Up Demo – Lincoln UK

I’m back today with another Focus Friday card. During the month of June, I’m looking at different ways to use our designer series paper (DSP). Today I used scraps to create these cards. These are small strips that would otherwise go unused and stay in my stash forever.

I pulled the card together with a heat embossed sentiment from Peaceful Moments. I heat embossed the cardstock mat so that everything would match.

How To Make a Card with Multiple Shaker Pockets – Sweet Strawberry – Focus Friday – Crafting with Ashee – Independent Stampin Up! Demo – UK

Welcome to this Focus Friday post. For the month of April, we have been looking at all things shaker cards. Today the focus has been on multiple shaker pockets on one card.

I used the layering circle dies to create these three windows. You could of course do any shape you wanted but I stuck to circles here. One tip is to remove the backing on the foam strips before you apply them as they are much easier to manipulate then. Also, mark where your windows will fall on the background before you apply any adhesive. It will make your life so much easier. I didn’t and yes I still managed, but learn from my mistakes.

Look at these adorable ladybirds. I found out that in North America they say Ladbug but we in the UK of course say Ladybird. It really is amazing how many differences they are between proper English and American English.

The Hello Ladybug stamp set comes with a matching punch which I haven’t used here. This is just the same stamp repeat stamped. It is a two step stamping set and really easy to line by hand. I didn’t use the stamparatus and these ladybirds came out great.

This is a really simple card but so effective. I always love the magic of heat embossing. The dull powder becomes glossy and beautiful. The only real way to get the sentiment to show bright white on dark cardstock is to white heat emboss it.

I’ve matted the black on a lovely piece of patterned paper from the Sunshine & Rainbows stack. I love the bright and saturated colours.

Check Out Focus Friday – Embossing Folders – Ornate Floral – In Bloom – Crafting with Ashee – Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator – Lincoln UK

I hope this finds you well. This year I’ve decided to shake things on my blog. I will still post three times a week as normal, so don’t worry. Today I introduce to you my first offering in a new series called “Focus Friday”. Let me explain.

Each month this year we will be focusing on a different tool or product. Each Friday we will try out a different technique with that product or tool. For January I have chosen embossing folders. Each Friday this month we will make a card using an embossing folder in a different way.

Today we are using the embossing folder in the most simple way to add interest to the background. I’ve paired it with a gorgeous floral frame from the Eden dies and a simple sentiment.

So, I will be honest. When I saw this stamp set and matching dies in the Sale-a-bration catalogue I wasn’t sold on the idea. I was lucky enough to have a pre-order big enough that I’d earned a few free items.  I decided to get them and gave them a whirl. This is what I came up with. It’s cute!!

I inked the background using a blending brush. The moon was masked using masking paper though you could also use a post-it note to do the job as well. I love the contrast between the moon, the sheep and the dark sky. So I think you will agree the sheep stamp set and matching dies were a good choice. Show me what you are making with this set.
