Gosh, I am pleased with this card. I got the inspiration for the colour combo on Pinterest and I love it. It’s Calypso Coral and Mango Melody. I would never have thought to put those two colours together but it works. It just shows, sometimes you need to step outside your comfort zone and just try it.

I love marigolds. They are lovely full blooms of flowers and this stamp set does them justice. Unlike some stamps, these are really recognisable as the flowers they are meant to be.

measurements

  • Mango Melody Cardstock – A6 Cardbase – This is an A4 sheet cut in half and then folded in half
  • Basic White Cardstock – 14.35cm X 10cm X 2 pieces
  • Calypso Coral Designer Series Paper (DSP) – 13.85cm X 9.5cm cut in half diagonally

Aren’t these bunnies so cute? I don’t usually make Easter cards but I couldn’t resist these cuties. I kept them white as I always see the Easter bunny as white. There are many elements in the stamp set to create a lovely scene including the grass, bird and butterfly.

Do you make Easter cards? Let me know in the comments below.

This is a very simple card but I absolutely love the sentiment. The little kitty next to the door is extra cute. I think it’s great to send a card just to let someone know they are not alone.

The card is coloured using the Stampin’ Blend alcohol markers. I love them as they are easy to blend and more importantly I enjoy using them. Which colouring medium is your favourite?

I love how bright and fun this card is. This is the Wisteria Wishes stamp set. I have turned the wisteria stamp upside down and now we have a lupin stamp. The camera doesn’t pick it up but I have added extra definition to each flower with a marker to create extra interest.

Have a Look!! One Bag – Two Different Ways

Have a Look!! One Bag – Two Different Ways – Happiness Abounds – Crafting with Ashee – Independent Stampin’ Up! Demo – Lincoln UK

This is such an easy bag to make. I wanted to show that just changing something small can totally change the look of your finished item. Here I’ve changed the closure mechanism. The first one is a ribbon closure and the second one has handles. It totally changes the look of the bag.

You can see both bags below. Which one do you prefer?

No Lines Watercolouring – Easy Trick – Daffodil Day Dream – Crafting with Ashee – Independent Stampin’ Up! Demo – Lincoln UK.

I do like the look of watercolouring with no harsh lines from stamping. It gives the whole image a softer appearance. There are a number of ways to achieve this look. Today I show you a simple trick using clear heat embossing.

I stamped the image using versamark ink and heat embossed using clear powder. Now when you watercolour you won’t see the lines and the watercolour will resist the heat embossing allowing you to colour with no lines. One final tip is to use Shimmery White or watercolour cardstock as it will stand up to the water much better than Basic White cardstock.

This is a fun way to use your embossing folders as well as a great way to use up scraps. I stuck down the little squares of the designer series paper (DSP) first. The whole panel was then run through my die-cutting machine with the Gingham embossing folder.

This technique makes the DSP look as if it is embedded in the background. Such fun and has a very different look.

I love rainbow cards. They are such fun to make. The colours I’ve used for my rainbow are:

  • Real Red
  • Pumpkin Pie
  • Daffodil Delight
  • Granny Apple Green
  • Pacific Point
  • Gorgeous Grape

I stamped little hearts in the centre of the big hearts. They look so cute. I made two versions of this card. The one above is less busy than the one below. Which do you prefer?

Most of the time we tend to use embossing folders with plain cardstock. I’ve used it here with the Distressed Gold speciality paper. It gives a great effect so different to using it with plain cardstock. I’ve used the Metal Plate embossing folder and it really gives this look with the Distressed Gold paper.

The photo doesn’t do this little chap justice. He is just adorable in real life. I love reading and consequently love making little bookmarks to use. This one uses a freebie I got during Sale-a-bration (SAB). The stamp set is Adorable Owls. During SAB for every £45.00 of product, you purchase you can choose a freebie from the SAB catalogue. This is one of my favourites.

He has been coloured in using the Stampin’ Blend alcohol markers, one of my favourite ways to colour. I’ve changed the way I colour in that I now go from dark to light instead of the reverse. I got the little magnetic strips online years ago. They are easy to find and quite cheap.
