The design is simple and effective. I’ve used two coordinating patterns of paper but together into triangles. I’ve mixed and matched the patterns to create this vibrant Valentine’s, Day Card. The heart from Country Bouquet is fussy cut and helps to cover all the seams.

Measurements

  • Thick Basic White Cardstock – A6 Card Base – This is an A4 sheet cut in half and then folded in half.
  • Sunny Days Designer Series Paper (DSP) – 14.35cm X 10cm X 2 pieces

Thank you for joining me today to make this simple and beautiful Valentine’s Day Card. I’ve come to love the combination of red and pink. Do you like it? The colours here are Real Red and Flirty Flamingo. I love the Stampin’ Up! colour names, they are such fun.

I’ve layered three different patterns from the Most Adored designer series paper (DSP) to create this simple card. This DSP is a freebie during Sale-a-bration (SAB). You can choose a free item from the SAB catalogue for every qualifying purchase during SAB. SAB finishes at the end of February.

I love rainbow cards. They are such fun to make. The colours I’ve used for my rainbow are:

  • Real Red
  • Pumpkin Pie
  • Daffodil Delight
  • Granny Apple Green
  • Pacific Point
  • Gorgeous Grape

I stamped little hearts in the centre of the big hearts. They look so cute. I made two versions of this card. The one above is less busy than the one below. Which do you prefer?

I find these heart-shaped candles while out shopping recently and couldn’t resist them. I created this little gift box that holds four of them. It has a see-through lid so that the recipient can see the gorgeous candles inside.

This is a simple pizza-style gift box which was made specifically to hold these candles but you could put anything in it. It would be a lovely box to put jewellery in or some special sweets.

This cute little box holds 4 reels of love hearts. It has a pull tie at one end to make opening easy and reinforced ends. It’s straightforward to make and would be a lovely little gift. You could use these as table favours or even in kid’s goody bags.

I don’t know about you but I remember as a child using matchboxes to make furniture for my doll’s house. A big matchbox cut in two piled one on top of the other made a great chest of drawers.
