Isn’t this picnic basket cute? I’ve made it a few times before. Today, I decided to make it into an Easter Basket. It features the Floral Delight designer series paper (DSP). This paper is bright floral and happy. Perfect for Easter.

The basket has a flap on either end, the centre is secured to the base. It is easy to make. I would advise you to create a template of the box such as the one below to help you understand how it fits together.

This card features a tuck spot on the front which houses a simple tag created using the Everyday Arches dies. I’ve made this card a thank you card but the tag could also be an invitation.

If there ever was a cheerful card, this is it. I love the bright, happy colours. The colour palette was inspired by the Floral Delight designer series paper (DSP) used in the background. The daisies are from the appropriately named Cheerful Daisies stamp and die bundle. I know I’ve mentioned this before. My grandmother always had a yellow daisy bush in her garden, hence I’ve always loved daisies.

I love layering stencils. They are so easy to use. I’ve shown how to use them many times in videos, however, I still get new people unsure of how to use them. Therefore I decided to do a new tutorial on how to use these wonderful products.

Stampin’ Up!’s layering stencils are numbered making it easy to know what order to use them. Another tip is to always start with your lightest colour and increase the colour intensity. Stick to colours that are next to each other in the colour wheel. Have you seen the fabulous colour wheel from Stampin’ Up!? Check it out here. It is great for choosing the colours for a card or scrapbook page.

I love a shaker card, or, as I call them, shakey, shakey cards. They are such fun. I have a huge collection of sequins, and this year, I want to continue to use them. Do you have anything in your stash that you are trying to use?

The secret to easy shaker cards is good-quality foam strips. Remove the backing, and you will find them easy to manipulate. You can fill up your shakers as much as you want. If you want them to shake nicely, don’t overfill them.

I love to colour. It is my therapy. You can’t rush it, it calms me down and helps me to relax. I put on an audiobook and go into my own world. Do you enjoy colouring?

The images in this stamp set are perfect for colouring. I love the artwork in the Citrus Bloom set. They are ideal for colouring. I’ve coloured this card using the Stampin’ Blend alcohol markers. This set would work with watercolours as well. It is something I will have to try.

How to Create a Watercolour Swatch Background – Simple Birthday – Crafting with Ashee – Independent Stampin’ Up! Demo – Lincoln UK.

This is an easy technique to create a fun background. You do need to use watercolour paper. Basic White cardstock will not stand up to the water and may pil. I’ve used Fluid 100 watercolour cardstock. This has two sides to it. I’ve used the smoother side.

The nature of watercolour cardstock means it will have a certain degree of texture. This allows the water to move on the page. You may not get a perfect impression the first time you stamp and I recommend using a stamping tool.

You don’t always need to use all the layers. This is a simple and stunning design and I love it. The above image is in Berry Burst and the one below is Pretty Peacock. Which do you prefer?
