Sunflowers Make Me Happy!! Card Share – Jar of Flowers Stamp Set – Shaker Card – Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator based in Lincoln UK.

I don’t think anyone can deny sunflowers are gorgeous. They make you smile and a field of them is truly spectacular. I love watching the Tour de France each year and when they go through parts of France you see these glorious fields of sunflowers. A truly picture-perfect moment.

This card is a little shaker card using the mason jar shaker domes. I’ve coloured everything in using the Stampin’ Blend alcohol markers which as you know are one of my favourite colouring mediums. I find colouring so relaxing and had great fun making this card.

How to Make a Mason Jar Shaker Card – Colouring using the Stampin’ Blend Alcohol Markers – Independent Stampin’ Up Demonstrator based in Lincoln UK.

I normally struggle with shaker cards but this one was super easy to make and I was over the moon with how it turned out. How pretty is this card? These shaker mason jar domes are seriously cute. I’m definitely buying a few more packs to hoard. Everything is coloured in using the Stampin’ Blend alcohol markers. Colouring in is so therapeutic. It keeps me out of mischief for hours!!

The stamp set is Jars of Love. It comes with many different bunches of flowers and even the stems to stamp in the jar. I’ve fussy cut the flowers out and of course there is a matching mason jar punch.

How to Make it Shake!! Christmas Shaker Card. Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator based in Lincoln UK.

I love shaker cards but sometimes struggle with making them. This one turned out really well I think. The sequins around the card pic up on the sequins in the shaker card and give it a lovely cohesive effect. I embossed the Balmy Blue layer with the Woodlands embossing folder which matches the woodland feel of the stamped image.

When I was a child, I love Snow Globes. They weren’t as widely available as they are now and were so special. I love just loved watching all the glittery snow falling down on the scene. I still have a few that I have collected over the years that I put out for Christmas. This year I want to try and make one for myself. Watch this space!!

Shaker Die Cut Birthday Card Stampin’ Up!

Hello again, I have this shaker die cut birthday card to share with you today. I’m never happy with the shakey shakey cards I make but am determined to keep trying until I perfect it. This is my attempt today.

This card took ages to make. I struggled to come up with something I liked and I am still in two minds about it. Do you like? The die set is aptly named Happy Dies. I do like the Happy the die that cuts out the word. Next, I think I will try this die as an inlaid die cut.

I used the silver strips to cover up the foam tape on the sides of the card. One thing I do like is how well the balloons have stamped out. They do look happy and jolly.

Things are fairly quiet here in Lincoln. I am writing this post on the 10th July even though it is going to go up later. Yesterday was my mother’s birthday. It was very quiet as we just stayed home. Neither of us is comfortable going out to eat under the current circumstances. We are both vulnerable and so we are taking these carefully and slowly.

Snowglobe Shaker Card – Still Scenes – Stampin’ Up!

I have another attempt at a snowglobe shaker card to share with you today. I love the idea of a shaker card but don’t enjoy making them. The sequins get everywhere and more seem to stick to me than get in the shaker dome!!!

I’ve used the Still Scenes stamp set to stamp the wintery cottage scene. I have coloured it in with our watercolour pencils. I love colouring in and watercolouring is a very forgiving medium. The two polar bears are so cute and love the image of the mother kissing her little baby bear.

I felt the background was a bit bland and therefore have lifted using the same snowflake sequins that are in the shaker dome. I adhered them with a tiny dot of Tombow. The “Take Your Pick Tool” makes placement super easy without getting your fingers stuck in the glue.

Shakey, Shakey – Feels Like Frost Shaker Card

I have a shaker card to share with you today or as I call them a shakey, shakey card. Shaker Cards are fun and interactive and I love to make them. These are super easy to make with the snow globe domes from Stampin’ Up!

I have used the Feels Like Frost designer series paper (DSP) here. It is a gorgeous paper collection. It has lovely wintery images on the one side with shimmery metallic silver foiling on the other side.

Instead of stamping behind the shaker dome I have used the cutout section of the DSP to make one seamless image. I haven’t used too many sequins so that this image is still visible.

I love shakey, shakey cards. These domes allow you to make a shaker card or create a proper snow globe. I plan to make more of these as Christmas approaches.
