Welcome to this “Friday Focus” post. For the month of April, we are looking at all things Shaker Cards. Today’s card is what I would call a standard shaker card. It uses foam strips and tape to create a shaker card. It has dimension and shakes beautifully.

I’ve not used these shaker shapes in the shaker before. They have been sitting in my stash for the last year and at last, they are seeing the light of day. They are great, bright and fun.

Welcome to this Focus Friday post. For the month of April, we are looking at all things shaker cards. So are you ready to shake with me? Today we are looking at a full card shaker card. This is a great card to make as it “recycles” any pieces of plastic acetate packaging you have.

I love this card as you can see all the pretty paper in the background. I haven’t added too many shaker elements as this card has no dimension and you don’t want to hide the beautiful paper.

Welcome to this Focus Friday blog post. This month we are focusing on shaker cards. Today we are looking at shaker dome cards. They are really easy to make and add so fun to receive.

The stamp set is Jar of Flowers. Everything has been coloured using the Stampin’ Blend alcohol markers. They are as you know one of my favourite colouring mediums as they blend so well.

Making a Star Shaped Shaker Card – Easy Tutorial – Crafting with Ashee – Independent Stampin’ Up! based in Lincoln UK.

This shaker card came together really easily. I was watching a haul video on YouTube and saw the lady had purchased some star and heart-shaped shaker pockets online. So I thought to myself, why don’t I make a star-shaped shaker card and here it is.

I used children’s fun foam at the pack to give it the necessary dimension. It also prevents any of the Subtle Shimmer Sequins in the shaker element from sticking to any adhesive.

Sunflowers Make Me Happy!! Card Share

Sunflowers Make Me Happy!! Card Share – Jar of Flowers Stamp Set – Shaker Card – Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator based in Lincoln UK.

I don’t think anyone can deny sunflowers are gorgeous. They make you smile and a field of them is truly spectacular. I love watching the Tour de France each year and when they go through parts of France you see these glorious fields of sunflowers. A truly picture-perfect moment.

This card is a little shaker card using the mason jar shaker domes. I’ve coloured everything in using the Stampin’ Blend alcohol markers which as you know are one of my favourite colouring mediums. I find colouring so relaxing and had great fun making this card.

How to Make a Mason Jar Shaker Card – Colouring using the Stampin’ Blend Alcohol Markers – Independent Stampin’ Up Demonstrator based in Lincoln UK.

I normally struggle with shaker cards but this one was super easy to make and I was over the moon with how it turned out. How pretty is this card? These shaker mason jar domes are seriously cute. I’m definitely buying a few more packs to hoard. Everything is coloured in using the Stampin’ Blend alcohol markers. Colouring in is so therapeutic. It keeps me out of mischief for hours!!

The stamp set is Jars of Love. It comes with many different bunches of flowers and even the stems to stamp in the jar. I’ve fussy cut the flowers out and of course there is a matching mason jar punch.

How to Make it Shake!! Christmas Shaker Card. Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator based in Lincoln UK.

I love shaker cards but sometimes struggle with making them. This one turned out really well I think. The sequins around the card pic up on the sequins in the shaker card and give it a lovely cohesive effect. I embossed the Balmy Blue layer with the Woodlands embossing folder which matches the woodland feel of the stamped image.

When I was a child, I love Snow Globes. They weren’t as widely available as they are now and were so special. I love just loved watching all the glittery snow falling down on the scene. I still have a few that I have collected over the years that I put out for Christmas. This year I want to try and make one for myself. Watch this space!!

Shaker Die Cut Birthday Card Stampin’ Up!

Hello again, I have this shaker die cut birthday card to share with you today. I’m never happy with the shakey shakey cards I make but am determined to keep trying until I perfect it. This is my attempt today.

This card took ages to make. I struggled to come up with something I liked and I am still in two minds about it. Do you like? The die set is aptly named Happy Dies. I do like the Happy the die that cuts out the word. Next, I think I will try this die as an inlaid die cut.

I used the silver strips to cover up the foam tape on the sides of the card. One thing I do like is how well the balloons have stamped out. They do look happy and jolly.

Things are fairly quiet here in Lincoln. I am writing this post on the 10th July even though it is going to go up later. Yesterday was my mother’s birthday. It was very quiet as we just stayed home. Neither of us is comfortable going out to eat under the current circumstances. We are both vulnerable and so we are taking these carefully and slowly.

Snowglobe Shaker Card – Still Scenes – Stampin’ Up!

I have another attempt at a snowglobe shaker card to share with you today. I love the idea of a shaker card but don’t enjoy making them. The sequins get everywhere and more seem to stick to me than get in the shaker dome!!!

I’ve used the Still Scenes stamp set to stamp the wintery cottage scene. I have coloured it in with our watercolour pencils. I love colouring in and watercolouring is a very forgiving medium. The two polar bears are so cute and love the image of the mother kissing her little baby bear.

I felt the background was a bit bland and therefore have lifted using the same snowflake sequins that are in the shaker dome. I adhered them with a tiny dot of Tombow. The “Take Your Pick Tool” makes placement super easy without getting your fingers stuck in the glue.

Shakey, Shakey – Feels Like Frost Shaker Card

I have a shaker card to share with you today or as I call them a shakey, shakey card. Shaker Cards are fun and interactive and I love to make them. These are super easy to make with the snow globe domes from Stampin’ Up!

I have used the Feels Like Frost designer series paper (DSP) here. It is a gorgeous paper collection. It has lovely wintery images on the one side with shimmery metallic silver foiling on the other side.

Instead of stamping behind the shaker dome I have used the cutout section of the DSP to make one seamless image. I haven’t used too many sequins so that this image is still visible.

I love shakey, shakey cards. These domes allow you to make a shaker card or create a proper snow globe. I plan to make more of these as Christmas approaches.
