Let’s Have Otter Fun – Simple Colouring – Card Tutorial – Awesome Otter – Crafting with Ashee – Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator – Lincoln UK

Isn’t this little fellow cute? I love him!! Such a simple card but so pretty. I’ve coloured the otter using just two colours of Stampin’ Blend Alcohol Markers; Balmy Blue and Crumb Cake. There is no sentiment on this card on purpose so it can be used for whatever occasion you chose. Sometimes it’s good to have cards that can fit multiple purposes.

Golden Honey Gift Bag -Stampin’ Up – SAB 2020

I have a little Golden Honey gift bag to share with you today The Golden Honey Designer Series Paper (DSP) is so elegant and beautiful. I want to use it as much as possible for it goes away. This is a free sale-a-bration product so will only be available until the end of March.

Golden Honey Gift Bag – Stampin’ Up – SAB 2020

I think this DSP is perfect for male cards as well. I love the foiling on every sheet. It is pretty without being tacky. This bag is very simple to make with a turned down top for extra interest. I did attempt to tie a bow to close it but as you can see I wasn’t very successful. I won’t tell you how many times I tried!!!

All I would say is as you are using paper, be careful when you score that you don’t tear it. Score lightly a few times rather than once heavily. I use the thicker end of the embossing tool as well.

measurements

  • Golden Honey DSP – 11″ x 7″ Scored at:
    • Long Side – 1/2″, 4 1/4″, 5 3/4″, 9 1/2″
    • Short Side – 1″, 5 1/2″

Power of Hope – Sale-a-bration Set – Stampin’ Up!

The Power of Hope stamp set is a free set in sale-a-bration. I have found in previous years that I haven’t used all the sets I get in sale-a-bration but I am changing that this year.

Power of Hope - Sale-a-bration Set - Stampin' Up!
Power of Hope – Sale-a-bration Set – Stampin’ Up!

This stamp set has an oriental feel to it. I, therefore, decided to use Popp Parade as the main colour. Power of Hope wasn’t a favourite of mine when I got it but I am really pleased with how this card turned out.

I’ve coloured the lady in with watercolour pencils and aqua painter. I love how the black frames make the images pop. Framing cards focuses the eye on the main image. I’ve used the shimmery white to watercolour on. Is important that you use a paper than stand up to the water. I find that if you whisper white then the paper will bobble and pill. I always you shimmery white or watercolour card.

measurements

  • Poppy Parade A6 Cardbase – This is an A4 sheet cut in half and then folded in half
  • Whisper White – 14.35cm x 10cm
  • Poppy Parade Designer Series Paper – 13.85cm x 9.5cm

Lovely Lily Card – Sale-a-bration – Stampin’ Up!

I have another card to share with you today using Sale-a-bration items. Sale-a-bration only lasts until the end of March. I, therefore, want to share with you something from all my free items before the end of March. This card uses the Lovely Lily stamp set with matching dies and designer series paper (DSP).

Lovely Lily Card - Sale-a-bration - Stampin' Up!
Lovely Lily Card – Sale-a-bration – Stampin’ Up!

The Lovely Lily stamp set, Lily DSP and Lily dies are all free items from the Sale-a-bration catalogue. The first two are free with a £45 order and the dies are free with a £90.00 order.

I’ve coloured the Lily in with the Stampin’ Blends in Flirty Flamingo and Mossy Meadow. I think this Lily makes a lovely focal piece for this card. The ribbon is new crinkled white seam binding and I love it. It is so soft and gives a lovely subtle accent to the card.

I’m not normally a great fan of water lilies. They are amazing flowers but there are others that I prefer. This image reminds me of the water lilies at Kew Gardens in London. As some of you may know I am a Londoner born and bred. I only moved here to Lincoln in 2016. We lived close to Kew and I do miss visiting.#

measurements

  • Thick Whisper White A6 Cardbase – ( This is an A4 sheet cut in half and then folded in half)
  • Lily DSP – 14.35cm x 10cm
  • Pretty Peacock – 7cm x 8cm
  • Whisper White – 7.5cm x 8.5cm

Kerchief Card Kit – Stampin’ Up! Sale-a-bration

Happy New Year!! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and New Year. I’m back with my regular blog postings and YouTube videos. I have a card from the Kerchief Card Kit to share with you today.

Sale-a-bration

This card kit is a free item during sale-a-bration. Sale-a-bration is the most wonderful time of the Stampin’ Up! year. You get to earn free product every time you order over £45.00, which to be honest is very easy to do with all yummy goodies in the catalogue.

Today is the start of Sale-a-bration as well as the launch of the new Spring / Summer mini catalogue. If you haven’t got a demonstrator already and want a copy then just request one here.

Kerchief Card Kit - Stampin' Up! Sale-a-bration freebie!
Kerchief Card Kit – Stampin’ Up! Sale-a-bration freebie!

The Kerchief Card Kit has all the supplies to make 8 cards, 4 of each design. You also get the envelopes with matching envelope liners. This kit is a quick way to make a bunch of cards with a variety of sentiments. The only supplies I added were a bone folder and some glue dots.

The Kerchief Card Kit is only one may items in the Sale-a-bration catalogue that includes stamps, dies, punches, embellishments and designer series paper. I did do a haul video of my preorder from the Spring / Summer Catalogue and the Sale-a-bration but I lost it. Accidentally the week before Christmas, my mother spilt a full glass of diet coke over my laptop and it is now dead. Unfortunately, the video wasn’t backed up and is now lost. I’m sorry I don’t have to share with you.

Once you had a chance to look through the new catalogues, let me know what is on your wish list.

Thank you for dropping by and until next time Enjoy Being Creative!!#
