How to Create a Triple-Layered Stamped Card – Tutorial – Impressions Abloom – Crafting with Ashee – Independent Stampin’ Up! Demo – UK

Today, I’m sharing a beautifully layered card that features one of my favourite new releases – the Impressions Abloom stamp and die bundle. For this project, I focused solely on the stamp set to create a striking triple-layered stamped card using a technique that looks intricate but is surprisingly easy to achieve.

This design is perfect for sending a heartfelt message of appreciation, and the layered effect helps the florals pop. I’ve paired bold florals and foliage with subtle matting for a clean and professional finish. If you’ve never tried this technique before, you’re in for a treat.

Stamping with the Pretty Floral Stamp Set

To begin, I cut three pieces of Basic White cardstock in graduating sizes and lightly adhered them together with a repositionable adhesive. This allowed me to stamp across all three layers at once, creating a seamless floral design that flows naturally from one panel to the next.

For the first card, the flowers were stamped in Pretty in Pink and Strawberry Slush, with the centres in Blackberry Bliss to add depth and contrast. For the foliage, I used Soft Sea Foam as a base layer and added Garden Green to bring in rich detail and dimension. I created the second card using a monochromatic colour palette. I used Coastal Cabana and Pretty Peacock for the florals and Pool Party and Lost Lagoon for the foliage.

Once the stamping was complete, I matted each layer with Secret Sea / Pretty Peacock cardstock to create crisp borders.

Measurements

  • Secret Sea / Pretty Peacock Cardstock – A6 Card Base – This is an A4 sheet cut in half and then folded in half.
  • Basic White Cardstock:
    • 14.35cm X 10cm
    • 12.35cm X 8cm
    • 10.35cm X 6cm
  • Secret Sea / Pretty Peacock Cardstock:
    • 12.85cm X 8.5cm
    • 10.85cm X 6.5cm

A Finishing Touch

To complete the card, I added a sentiment that reads “I appreciate you” in Strawberry Slush ink. A few adhesive gems scattered around the card front gave it some bling without overpowering the design.

This triple-layering technique is a fantastic way to showcase your stamps and create an eye-catching focal point. It’s also very versatile—just swap out the colours and sentiment to suit any occasion.

Easy!! Use Your Layering Stencils without the Stamp Set. Thankful Garden. Crafting with Ashee – Independent Stampin’ Up! Demo. UK.

Today I’m sharing a fun and simple project that proves you don’t always need the matching stamp set and dies to create a gorgeous card! Using just the Thankful Garden layering stencils, some vibrant inks, and a few finishing touches, I made this beautiful floral card that’s perfect for a friend.

How I Made It

I started by layering the Thankful Garden stencils directly onto a piece of white cardstock. Using blending brushes, I added colour with a light hand, building up the intensity until I was happy with the result.

  • Highland Heather / Pretty in Pink for the lighter petals
  • Gorgeous Grape / Pretty in Pink for the deeper, detailed petal layers
  • Lemon Lime Twist for the base of the leaves
  • Granny Apple Green to highlight and add dimension to the leaves

The notches on the top of these stencils make them a breeze to line up. Of course, because they are layered, you get amazing depth without needing extra tools or tricks!

Measurements

  • Basic White Cardstock – 14.35cm X 10cm X 2 pieces

Why You Should Try This

If you’ve ever hesitated to buy layering stencils because you thought you needed the full bundle (stamps, dies, everything) — this card shows you don’t!
The stencils alone can create a full, stunning focal point. It’s quick, it’s affordable, and it gives you so much flexibility to create your custom looks.

I love to colour. It is my therapy. You can’t rush it, it calms me down and helps me to relax. I put on an audiobook and go into my own world. Do you enjoy colouring?

The images in this stamp set are perfect for colouring. I love the artwork in the Citrus Bloom set. They are ideal for colouring. I’ve coloured this card using the Stampin’ Blend alcohol markers. This set would work with watercolours as well. It is something I will have to try.
