Looking for a fun and simple papercraft project? These micro mini albums are gorgeous and perfect for holding small photos or journaling! Each handmade mini-book features 10 interactive pages, including the inside front and back covers.

To make the most of my designer series paper (DSP), I’ve only decorated the covers since most pages will be covered by photos. The albums are compact and stylish, measuring just 9.5cm x 9.5cm, and are secured with a pretty ribbon tie closure.

As we near the end of the annual catalogue I go through my stamp shelves and see what stamps I’ve used and which have hardly seen ink. The Charming Duck Pond bundle is one which I’ve only used a couple of times.

I wanted to use it again before it perhaps retires. This card is CASED from the annual catalogue. What is casing you may ask. Case means to copy and share everything. There is nothing wrong with casing an idea from the catalogue but do give credit to your source idea.

This card is full of joy. The colours are bright and happy. I’ve only used three colours, but they sing together, as green and red are complementary colours on the colour wheel.

Arch Shaped Shaker Card Tutorial – How to Make It. – Everyday Arches Dies – Crafting with Ashee – Independent Stampin’ Up! Demo – Lincoln UK

Do you like shaker cards? I’m always looking for new ways to include shakers in my cardmaking. It can be fun to make different shaped cards. They engage the recipient and are enjoyable to make.

Arch Shaped Shaker Card Tutorial – How to Make It. – Everyday Arches Dies – Crafting with Ashee – Independent Stampin’ Up! Demo – Lincoln UK

Tips

I do have a few tips to share. Firstly remove the backing to the foam strips before you apply. This makes the strips more malleable and easy to shape. Secondly, ensure you enclose your shaker window with foam strips and have no gaps. Thirdly once you have closed up your shaker give the adhesive a good press with your bone folder to ensure good adhesion.

If there ever was a cheerful card, this is it. I love the bright, happy colours. The colour palette was inspired by the Floral Delight designer series paper (DSP) used in the background. The daisies are from the appropriately named Cheerful Daisies stamp and die bundle. I know I’ve mentioned this before. My grandmother always had a yellow daisy bush in her garden, hence I’ve always loved daisies.

I love layering stencils. They are so easy to use. I’ve shown how to use them many times in videos, however, I still get new people unsure of how to use them. Therefore I decided to do a new tutorial on how to use these wonderful products.

Stampin’ Up!’s layering stencils are numbered making it easy to know what order to use them. Another tip is to always start with your lightest colour and increase the colour intensity. Stick to colours that are next to each other in the colour wheel. Have you seen the fabulous colour wheel from Stampin’ Up!? Check it out here. It is great for choosing the colours for a card or scrapbook page.

The secret to easy shaker cards is good-quality foam strips. Remove the backing, and you will find them easy to manipulate. You can fill up your shakers as much as you want. If you want them to shake nicely, don’t overfill them.

How to Create a Watercolour Swatch Background – Simple Birthday – Crafting with Ashee – Independent Stampin’ Up! Demo – Lincoln UK.

This is an easy technique to create a fun background. You do need to use watercolour paper. Basic White cardstock will not stand up to the water and may pil. I’ve used Fluid 100 watercolour cardstock. This has two sides to it. I’ve used the smoother side.

The nature of watercolour cardstock means it will have a certain degree of texture. This allows the water to move on the page. You may not get a perfect impression the first time you stamp and I recommend using a stamping tool.
