How to Make a Dashboard – Travellers Notebook – Stampin’ Up!

I love my planners and quite a collection. I use my travellers notebook or TN to plan my Stampin’ Up! business. Of course, it has to pretty as well as functional. I enjoy making various dashboards and inserts for it and thought I would share this one with you.

The designer series paper (DSP) is Heartwarming Hugs. It is a good weight for paper and not flimsy. You could also use cardstock and then mat the DSP on to it. The journaling card is from the Wonder of the Season set and makes the perfect embellishment for this dashboard.

measurements

  • Heartwarming Hugs – 8 1/4″ X 9″ Scored in half on the 9″ side. Keep the scraps from the 12″ X 12″ DSP to make the internal pockets.
  • Heartwarming Hugs 5 1/2″ X 3 3/4″ Scored at 1/2″ on the two short sides and one long side
  • Heartwarming Hugs 9 1/4″ X 3″ scored at 1/2″ on two short sides and one long side

How to Make a Travellers Notebook – Junk Journal

This is my first attempt at a junk journal. I decided to make in the style of a traveller’s notebook. It turned out great, I think. I used the Pressed Petals Designer Series Paper (DSP) to decorate it.

Making mini albums is one of my favourite things to do. I love how out of a few pieces of chipboard you can create something unique and beautiful to hold all your precious memories and mementoes.

This travellers notebook (TN) is made from chipboard. It measures 7 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ with a 1 1/2″ spine. You can make them whatever size you want though. If you wanted to you can make the basic album and instead of making a TN you could widen the spine and use a hinge binding system instead.

measurements

  • Chipboard 7 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ X 2, spine – 7 1/2″ x 1 1/2″
  • Early Espresso cardstock – 9 1/2″ x 7 1/2″ X 2, A4 sheet cut to 7 1/4″ on the short side

Christmas Paper Bag Mini Album – Stampin’ Up!

I wanted to share with Christmas Paper Bag Mini Album that I’ve made. I really enjoyed making this and am so proud of the way it turned out. The album uses the Night Before Christmas Designer Series Paper (DSP). The whole suite is amazing and is perfect for this mini-album.

Christmas Paper Bag Mini Album - Stampin' Up!
Christmas Paper Bag Mini Album – Stampin’ Up!

There is no stamping at all in this album. I used the DSP as well as the co-ordinating Memory and More cards. The cards come with 6″ X 4″ cards, 4″ X 3″ cards a number of sticker sheets. They are perfect for this album.

The album is made from 6 brown paper bags. This gives you 6 large pockets at the top and another 6 small pockets on the back page. I’ve matched the colours in the DSP in my cardstock mats.

I’ve used the Memory and More cards as embellishments, as well as tags and photo mats. The stickers make great accent pieces as well. You can also fussy cut images out of the DSP to make embellishments.

I did say in my video that I would put up the measurements here. However, I am not going to do that as I realised that without a tutorial video they don’t make that much sense.

If you want a tutorial video then please let me know in the comments and I will do it for you. Here is a video showing you a flip through of the album as well as the supply list.

Envelope Album – Perennial Essence – Stampin’ Up!

Today, I’m sharing this lovely envelope album with you. The construction is very simple, in that it consists of only 10 envelopes. That’s right you only need 10 envelopes and you are ready to make your album.

Envelope Album decorated with the Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper from Stampin’ Up!

I’ve been watching lots of videos on YouTube of mini-albums. They are may ways of making a mini album and I wanted to try an envelope one. Unfortunately, I just couldn’t find a style of construction that I liked so I decided to make it up as I went along.

Measurements

  • The envelopes used are a standard C6 which will fit a normal A6 cardbase.
  • Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper (DSP) 6″ X 4″
  • Blackberry Bliss and Blushing Bride mat pieces 6″ X 4″

The album holds 9 photos. Below is a double-page spread in the album.

A photo is on the right side and the Perennial Essense DSP on the left. I want to take this moment to mention the Praiseworthy Prose stamp set. This set contains seven definitions eg grateful, cheerful and family which have been stamped in Blackberry Bliss. I’ve placed a picture to correspond with each definition.

This album is so easy to make. I’ve made a video tutorial below along with the supply list.

I’m in love with making mini albums. I am making one currently with the Dino Roar DSP and have just completed one with the Magnolia Lane DSP. I will show you them in the next few weeks.

Thank you for stopping by and until next time, Enjoy Being Creative!!

Mini Album – One Sheet Wonder

Mini Album made from one sheet of 12″ X 12″ cardstock with supplies from Stampin’ Up!

I have a mini album to share with you today. This is a great one sheet wonder project that uses only one sheet of 12″ x 12″ cardstock for the basic construction. I first found this project online when I became a demo back in 2012. I’ve tried to find my original source but it’s too long ago now.

Mini Album - One Sheet Wonder using supplies from Stampin' Up!
Mini Album – One Sheet Wonder using supplies from Stampin’ Up!

This is a very simple and easy project to make for a beginner crafter. It looks complicated but is not. I did this album as my first demonstration piece at my upline, Amanda Fowler’s team training and it was a hit.

Measurements

  • Black cardstock – 12″ x 12″ – scored on one side at 2″, 6″ & 10″ and then turned 90 degrees and scored again at 3″, 6″ & 9″.
  • Soft Suede cardstock – 1″ x 8″
  • Soft Suede cardstock – 4″ x 4″
  • Whisper White cardstock 2″ x 3″ x 8
  • Pressed Petals Designer Series Paper (DSP)

Mini Album – One Sheet Wonder using supplies from Stampin’ Up!

This mini-album can hold tags, little photos, sentiment quotes, really whatever you fancy. It is a great size to carry around as it fits into your hand well.

The paper used is the Pressed Petals speciality DSP which is thinner than our normal DSP but really great for projects such as this. You get 24 sheets in a pack so you have plenty of paper to use as you so wish.

There is a video tutorial for this great project and the supply list below.

My question for today is what is your favourite type of papercraft? Do you prefer to make cards, scrapbooking, mini albums or something else?

Thank you for stopping by and until next time Enjoy Being Creative!!
