I love the simplicity of this Christmas Card. The main star of the card is the Falling Snow background stamp. I’ve white heat embossed it on Azure Afternoon cardstock and then ink blended in the same colour over the top. The white heat-embossed areas resist the ink and stay bright white. Such a gorgeous effect.

measurements

  • Thick Basic White Cardstock – A6 Card Base – This is an A4 sheet cut in half and then folded in half.
  • Azure Afternoon Cardstock – 1/4 sheet of A4 cardstock.

Two shades of blue were used in this card, Boho Blue and Pool Party. In both cases, I’ve used second and even third-generation stamping to achieve a muted softer look. The addition of the rhinestones in the centre of the snowflakes brings the whole design together.

Measurements

I wasn’t pleased with the outcome the first time I made this card. You can see the first version in the video below. I remade it in the video and now, I love it. The coordinating designer series paper (DSP) inspired the colours I used. I love the snowman with his red top hat. He is so cute and full of joy.

measurements

  • Poppy Parade Cardstock – A6 Card Base – This is an A4 sheet cut in half and then folded in half.
  • Basic White Cardstock – 14.35cm X 10cm

I’ve always loved the combination of blue and red. Do you like it? The colours here are Balmy Blue, Azure Afternoon and Poppy Parade. I’ve coloured the little house to look like a gingerbread house. The image is from the Humble Home stamp and punch bundle. I love punches. The colouring was done using the Stampin’ Blend alcohol markers. I love them, they are easy to use and produce great results.

I call this my bullseye design as you have a single focal image on the card. Here it is this adorable Christmas Tree from the Decorative Trees stamp set. I’ve paired it with the Take a Bow designer series paper (DSP) to give a central pop of colour. The gold foil sheet used in the garlands gives it some Christmas bling!!

Measurements

  • Basic White Cardstock – 14.35cm X 10cm X 2 pieces

I love this little tent box. It is easy to make and I am happy with how it turned out. There is no stamping here. I’ve used our ephemera packs to decorate and embellish it. A top tip is if you are making any bag or box for the first time, make a template using cheap cardstock. You can practice building the box or bag and make any mistakes before ruining your pretty paper. You can find a template for this box below the measurements.

I love paper that has a variety of individual images with a “white space” around them. They are perfect for fussy cutting. Now, don’t get me wrong, I’m not a fan of fussy cutting but it does have its place. It is a great skill to master as it allows you to create a ton of die cuts from one piece of paper. Luckily here the matching Reindeer Fun dies will cut out some of the images in the Reindeer Days paper. As you can see here, I’ve used paper to create this card.

Measurements

  • Thick Basic White Cardstock – A6 Card Base – This is an A4 sheet cut in half and then folded in half.
  • Real Red Cardstock – 14.35cm X 10cm.

Isn’t this deer the cutest? I love how it’s popping out of the green frame to say Merry Christmas. The only stamping on this card is for the sentiments, otherwise it is all die cuts. This card was made using only the dies from the Reindeer Fun set. The dies match the stamp set but there are also some stand-alone dies that I’ve used to create this card.

Measurements

  • Real Red Cardstock – A6 Card Base – This is an A4 sheet cut in half and then folded in half.
  • Basic White Cardstock – 14.35cm X 10cm.
  • Garden Green Cardstock – 9.5cm X 14.35cm. You can it shorter once you’ve die-cut your image.

I love this design from the Reindeer Days designer series paper (DSP). It is gorgeous. This a straightforward and effective fancy-fold Christmas card. I love the combination of colours. Do you agree? I think the birds are Red Cardinals but I’m not sure. Do you know? In the UK our main Christmas bird is a robbin and these birds are not robbins.

I love layering stencils. I have every set that Stampin’ Up! has brought out. They are amazing. They make colouring these lovely images a doddle. You can use all the layers or just some of the layers to customise the colouring to your taste. Do you love them too? Check out the video below for the full tutorial on how to use these.
