Simple and Elegant Card – Beautiful World – World of Good – Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator based in Lincoln UK

This is a a very simple card to make. The sentiment is so cute ” Life is a beautiful journey” and it finishes on the inside “Thank you being part of mine”. The paper is called World of Good and each sheet has brass foiling. I’ve matched it with the foiling sheet I used to mat the sentiment.

I hardly ever use Crumb Cake cardstock but is a great neutral colour which I need to start to use more don’t you think? It would be a great masculine card choice with this designer series paper. I’m trying to go out of my comfort zone and use different colour combinations.

This bag has a box base with the designer series paper (DSP) wrapped around to create this beautiful curve. The dsp is Berry Delightful. Now I’m not a fan of berries normally but this paper is beautiful. Do you like it? The pretty handles just make this bag. I would be so happy to receive this from someone.

I think this card came out so cute. I’ve stamped on designer series paper (DSP) here. It really works. The sentiment matches the wellies and umbrella perfectly. The umbrella has a matching punch and I fussy cut out the wellies. It is really easy to do. I brought the yellow into the rest of the card with the Playing with Patterns resin dots. My favourite bit though is the little butterfly sitting on the handle of the umbrella.

Roses – To a Wild Rose – Stampin’ Up!

Thank you for visiting. I have this beautiful floral card to share with you to featuring the To a Wild Rose stamp set. I have to say that unlike a lot of people roses aren’t my favourite flowers. It’s because I think, many are scented and they just give me hayfever. Having said that I still like them and admire them but they can’t surpass my tulips.

Roses - To a Wild Rose - Stampin' Up!
Roses – To a Wild Rose – Stampin’ Up!

This stamp set is an older one and has been sitting in my stash for a while, never being used so I decided to bite the bullet as they say and use it. It is a layering stamps so works great with the stamparatus and makes the layering super easy. I decided to do the outline in black so that the colour would tie in with the sentiment.

The colours used for the flower are Petal Pink and Flirty Flamingo. I double stamped the colour at times to give a deeper hue. The leaves are Pear Pizzazz and Old Olive.

Measurements

  • Pear Pizzazz A6 cardbase – This is an A4 sheet cut in half and then folded in half
  • Whisper White – 14.35cm x 10cm

Our beautiful red rose outside the front door has nearly finished flowering. My mother dead headed it recently and we are hoping that we will a second flush of flowers later on in the year.
