Create a Scene Thank You Card – Playing in the Rain – Crafting with Ashee – Independent Stampin’ Up! Demo – Lincoln UK.

I love how this card turned out. It is darling, don’t you agree? This little turtle is so cute. This card is a mixture of stamped images and die cuts. Scene cards are some of my favourite cards to make. They do take a little longer to create but they are such fun to make.

The stamped images are coloured using the Stampin’ Blend alcohol markers. I’ve added shading to the die cuts using the matching ink colours and blending brushes. This adds dimension and depth to the die cuts so they don’t look so flat.

Measurements

Melon Mambo Cardstock – A6 Card Base – This is an A4 sheet cut in half and then folded in half.
Basic White Cardstock – 14.35cm X 10cm
Bright & Beautiful designer series paper (DSP) – 14.35cm x 10cm

I really enjoyed creating this scene using my dies. I combined dies from two different sets, Freezin’ Fun and Special Day. We forget sometimes that dies don’t just have to be used with the matching stamp set but can be used with others to create something different.

I sponged all my die cuts with the matching ink to give them extra definition, shadows and allow them to really pop on the scene. My two favourite dies are the stitched rolling hill and the grass. They are just great.
