Isn’t this little koala the cutest? I love him just hanging out in the tree. As you may remember my maternal family are from South Africa. Some of that family have left South Africa to go to Australia. I was thinking of them as I made this card.

I coloured this koala using watercolour pencils and a blender pen. This makes for super quick and easy colouring.

My First Time – Making a Slimline Card – UK Sizing – Best Delivery – Stampin’ Blend Alcohol Markers – Crafting with Ashee – Independent Stampin’ Up! Demo

I love how this card turned out. This is the first time I’ve made a slimline card like this. I have made some mini slimline cards but never a one this size. The card will fit perfectly into a standard DL size envelope here in the UK.

The Best Delivery stamp set is so cute. I have balloons coming out the back but you could equally have hearts coming out. So dinky. I coloured the image using the Stampin’ Blend alcohol markers. One of my favourite colouring mediums. I was thinking of a Royal Mail van when I coloured in this image. The Real Red and white really do pop against each other.

I love this cute little woodland scene. It’s coloured in using the Stampin’ Blend alcohol markers. I love colouring as you know, so on when the audiobook and off I went. I’m listening to the third book in the Brighton Mysteries series by Elly Griffiths. Really enjoy them. What do you listen to while you craft?

Just to Say You Are Amazing – Awesome Otters – Focus Friday – Watercolour Pencils – Crafting with Ashee – Independent Stampin’ Up Demo – Lincoln UK

Welcome to the last Focus Friday blog of February. This week we are looking at using watercolour pencils with water painters to colour. As you remember this month our focus has been on colouring. We have looked at colouring with alcohol markers, watercolour pencils and blender pens and watercolouring with ink pads.

Watercolouring is a very forgiving medium. I’ve used the shimmery white paper here to withstand all the water. The pencils give you a lot of control and you can add as much or as little water as you choose.

It’s Friday so it must be Focus Friday time. Welcome to this post. Today our Focus Friday is going to be focusing on how to use watercolour pencils with blender pens.

Traditionally watercolour pencils are used with, you guessed it water. However this is not the only way to use them, you can use them on their own as colouring pencils or as I’m doing today with blender pens. Each way gives a different effect. Experiment and see which you prefer. Check out the video below for a tutorial.

I love to colour. It is so therapeutic. I’ve started to listen to audiobooks as I colour and am loving it. Such a pleasant and relaxing way to spend a few hours. I used the Stampin’ Blend alcohol markers here to colour in. The more I do the better I think I’m becoming at blending.

I’ve used quite a few colours here. For the red, I used both Cherry Cobbler and Real Red and again I used both Old Olive and Mossy Meadow for the green. It just gave me a bigger variety of shading possibilities.

A simple and beautiful card for a sad occasion. I backed the focal image on the designer series paper that is matted on the cardbase. Gutting means cutting out the interior of the paper leaving just a shell. I used the Stampin’ Up! trimmer which makes this so easy. This is a great way to save paper and stretch your supplies.

Yes, the Party Puffins are showing us their dance moves again. They are boogying for all they are worth here in this cute bookmark. Now don’t get me wrong, I love the ease of ebooks but nothing can replace a proper book. I will use my kindle when I go away and don’t want to carry a zillion books in my suitcase but at home, I prefer proper books. They are so much easy to cross-reference from book to book or page to page.

This card uses only one colour, Polished Pink, I don’t count black and white as colours and doesn’t it look fabulous. I love pink flowers they are so bold and happy. These flowers are coloured using the Stampin’ Blend alcohol markers. A firm favourite of mine to colour with as they make shading so easy.

Isn’t this little guy cute? He is coloured in using the Stampin’ Blend alcohol markers. He is such a friendly little guy, just makes you smile. The stamp set is Turtle Friends and of course has a matching punch. I love my punches and have quite a collection of retired punches as I struggle to destash them. They are convenient and don’t require any other tools to use.
