This box looks more complicated to make than it actually is. It really is very easy. It is another of the projects we made in a recent card club in my Facebook Group. I wanted to share it with you. I am trying to expand the range of gift boxes and bags I make. So what is a girl to do for inspiration but go on Pinterest! I found this little box on there and just adapted the measurements and decoration for my tastes.

This gorgeous designer series paper is called Field of Flowers. It is one of the fabulous free items you can earn in sale-a-bration. During sale-a-bration you can chose a free item from the sale-a-bration catalogue for every £45.00 you spend. This paper is bright, bold and happy which is everything I love. I’ve coupled with the great Happiest of Birthdays stamp set for a simple and easy card.

The colour used here is Bumble Bee and what a pretty yellow it is. The green is Old Olive. If you know your colour theory then you will know that yellow and green are next to each on the colour wheel and so they sit well together. They are friends in other words.

I love big sentiment cards such as these. The sentiment comes from a favourite set of mine So Sentimental. I love this set as it has a great array of sentiments and is so versatile. I’ve used it many times and will link some projects using them below.

Jar of Sunshine – Jar of Flowers – Stampin’ Up!

I have another fabulous floral card to share with you today. This card to me is jar of sunshine. It actually features the jar of flowers stamp set and matching punch from the new Stampin’ Up! catalogue.

This lovely yellow is Bumble Bee and is one of the new 2020 -2022 in-colours. I love it! It is so bright and happy. The ribbon that the jar is sitting on is another new in-colour Cinamon Cider.

I’ve coloured in the images with the Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers. The jar is punched out and yes, I fussy cut out the flowers. I love all the bright yellow on this card but you can change up the colours to suit your fancy. There are a variety of bunches of flowers in the stamp set that you can choose and two sizes of mason jar.

measurements

  • Thick Whisper White A6 Cardbase – This is an A4 sheet cut in half and then folded in half
  • Bumble Bee Designer Series Paper (DSP) 14.35cm x 10cm
