Strawberries Anyone? How to Make a Fun Card? Sweet Strawberry Stamp Set & Punch – Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator based in Lincoln UK.

Although I am writing this blog in June it will go out in July. The beginning of July heralds Wimbledon and of course strawberries & cream. I’ve already had some delicious strawberries this year. I’m not made about cream so had iced cream instead. We have some local pick your own strawberry farms here but with just my mother and I we wouldn’t be able to eat all we would pick in time.

Make a Birthday Card with Me! Distress Style!! – Very Versailles – Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator based in Lincoln UK.

I’ve always loved playing with ink and paint and enjoy mixed media art. This is my version of a mixed media card, Stampin’ Up! style. I find mixed media art so freeing as there is no mistakes, just more chances to be creative. There is right or wrong way, just what makes you happy and looks go to you. All crafting would make you happy but mixed media makes me especially happy.

Happy Birthday My Sweet – Card – Sweet Strawberry – Independent Stampin’ Up Demonstrator based in Lincoln UK

This is a very simple monochromatic birthday card. I am starting to use embossing folders more and more in my designs. They add great texture and interest to backgrounds. The one I used here is called Pretty Flowers and is new in the catalogue. The rhinestones really make the flowers pop. Sometimes these tiny finishing touches really make a card.

Sweet as a Peach – Gift Box for a Birthday Treat – Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator based in Lincoln UK.

So pleased with how this came out. I used Calypso Coral cardstock. I never use this colour but oh my it looks good with this You’re a Peach designer series paper (DSP). The Pale PawPaw ribbon just finished it off perfectly. I have stored two little packets of biscuits in it for a sweet treat for someone special.

How to Make a Kid’s Pirate Birthday Card – Pirates & Mermaids – Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator based in Lincoln UK.

I’m so happy with the way this has turned out. He reminds me of a children’s tv show I used to watch called “Captain Pugwash”. I think I still have some of the storybooks but not sure where. Perhaps in a box somewhere. The pirate is coloured in using the Stampin’ Blend Alcohol markers. I made the rock he is standing on using the Painted Texture 3D embossing folder.

Making a Large Gift Bag – No Cutting Needed – Hydrangea Hills – Fine Art Floral – Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator based in Lincoln UK.

I’ve made this type of bag quite a few times. It is great if you are new to paper crafting or to do with children as no cutting is required. This bag uses a full piece of 12″ X 12″ paper / cardstock and makes a good size bag. The paper I’ve used here is the Hydrangea Hills designer series paper (DSP). It is so pretty. More importantly is that it has no specific direction which is important if you don’t want part of your image to be upside down.

Aren’t these Party Puffins so cute? When I saw this set in the new catalogue I knew I was getting it immediately. They are the perfect size for small cards such as these 3 X 3 cards or even a 4 X 4 card. The pink paper is thew new in-colour “Polished Pink”. Its bold, vibrant and very pink!!

I loved the Hydrangea Hill suite of products from the moment I saw them. This paper is beautiful. I have always loved hydrangeas. My mother had a huge pink one in the garden when I was growing up and we still have them in our garden now. I love the big blooms. They aren’t shy and very much a show stopper.

Introducing Polished Pink – Birthday Card

Introducing Polished Pink – Birthday Card – Pretty Perennials – Perennial Dies – Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator based in Lincoln UK.

Polished Pink is one of the new in-colours that goes live in May this year. It is not one of the “pinkiest” pinks you have ever seen. I love how bold and bright is. This card also uses two of the other new in-colours, Soft Succulent ( the DSP) and Evening Evergreen (the cardbase).

I love how all these colour work so well together. They just pop and make me happy. The rhinestones as the flower centres are the perfect finishing touches.
