Tucked in Lid Cute Gift Box – Stampin’ Up!

I have a cute little gift box with a tucked in lid to share with you today. This is a perfect size for a piece of jewelry or even some charms for a favourite charm bracelet.

This three tone purple ribbon is lovely. I never used it when it first came out but I’ve changed that now. Do you like it? This box is very easy to make. I made a template and once you have a template you can make as many as you like. You can store them flat and just seal up the base when you want to use them. Here is the template.

I love little bags and boxes. They are perfect to give small gifts to special someones. It is so nice to give little gifts to people when they least expect it. Bringing a smile to someone’s face is one of the greatest gifts you can give.

Stained Glass Effect Card – Stampin’ Up!

Hello again. I’m back with another card to share with you. I’m calling this my stained glass effect card as I feel the back strips between each segment are like the black lead work on a stained glass window.

As you may know both Bermuda Bay and Coastal Cabana are favourite colours of mine. I’ve used them here together and they go rather well don’t you think? This card was inspired by a card by upline Amanda Fowler did with us in team training. I’m very pleased with how it turned out and am going to do a few more using different colour combinations. I will share them with you as well.

I use the Tombow multipurpose liquid glue to stick everything down on this card. Oh Boy!!! Did I get glue everywhere? I had it on my fingers, my craft mat, the cardstock, my silicone mat, etc…. I think you get the picture. Wet glue and me, don’t’ always get on. I have a bad habit of sticking my fingers in the glue!!!

It’s a Dog’s Life – Pampered Pets – Stampin’ Up!

Normally if you say “It’s a Dog’s Life” you mean someone is having a miserable time of it. However when I see the the two little dogs that life up the road off on their walks, I think actually a dog’s life doesn’t sound too bad at times.

This dog image is from the Pampered Pets stamp set which in turn is part of the Pampered Pets suite of products. This suite includes designer series paper (DSP), stamp set and matching dies, charms and of course ribbon. I love the suite and it is perfect for both dog and cat lovers.

This little doggie reminds me of Jock from the film Lady and the Tramp. I love him. He is so cute!!! Of course he has a bling collar, what self respecting dog wouldn’t!!!

Strips – Using Your Scraps – Stampin’ Up!

I love being able to use up my scraps. This card uses strips of patterned paper cut at wonky angles to create this great card. A great sentiment is all you need to finish off this card.

This paper is the Flowers for Every Season Designer Series Paper (DSP). It is so pretty and I really enjoying using it time and time again. I’ve started to plan my mini album with this DSP to hold all my summer flower pictures from our own garden and all the surrounding villages.

I’ve long made cards using scraps but my upline Amanda Fowler showed me this technique using wonky cut pieces of paper and leaving gaps between each strip. It is quiet effective don’t you think?

I love driving around in the summer and seeing all the pretty gardens. The village of Nettleham, about 10 minutes from us is especially pretty. The local garden nursery sponsors hanging baskets outside various establishments and they always look amazing.

Doggy Curvy Keepsake Box – Stampin’ Up!

I’ve this super cute doggy curvy keepsake box. I’ve not used the mini curvy keepsake box much and decided this was the perfect time for it’s revival.

I love how this has turned out. The little doggie image is from the Playful Pets Designer Series Paper. It matches the Pets dies which not only cut out a cat and dog image from the DSP but of course the matching stamp set. How cool is that!!

Here is the cat version of the box. I am more a cat person that a dog person but do love both. In regards these cute boxes I do prefer how the dog one turned out. Which do you prefer?

The curvy keepsake box is made from half a sheet of A4 cardstock. The colour I’ve used here is real red as it matches the colour in the Playful Pets DSP. These boxes are so dinky and they would be perfect to hold a little gift. I was thinking of a little dog or cat charm to add to a charm bracelet for a special someone.

Roses – To a Wild Rose – Stampin’ Up!

Thank you for visiting. I have this beautiful floral card to share with you to featuring the To a Wild Rose stamp set. I have to say that unlike a lot of people roses aren’t my favourite flowers. It’s because I think, many are scented and they just give me hayfever. Having said that I still like them and admire them but they can’t surpass my tulips.

This stamp set is an older one and has been sitting in my stash for a while, never being used so I decided to bite the bullet as they say and use it. It is a layering stamps so works great with the stamparatus and makes the layering super easy. I decided to do the outline in black so that the colour would tie in with the sentiment.

The colours used for the flower are Petal Pink and Flirty Flamingo. I double stamped the colour at times to give a deeper hue. The leaves are Pear Pizzazz and Old Olive.

Our beautiful red rose outside the front door has nearly finished flowering. My mother dead headed it recently and we are hoping that we will a second flush of flowers later on in the year.

In-Colours Thank You Card – Stampin’ Up!

I have a simple card to share with you today. It is an in-colours thank you card. It features Misty Moonlight and Magenta Madness. I think these are my two favourite new colours. I love them and plan to use them again and again.

I think these two colours go so well together. The white also makes them pop. I am really loving the new patterns in the in-colour designer series paper. They are so fun. The strip of blue on the left hand side is actually Misty Moonlight ribbon. It is a gorgeous cotton type ribbon, beautifully soft and easy to tie into a bow, even for an idiot like me.

Yes I have more sunflowers to share with you. This is a sunflowers bag. The bag is very easy to make and show cases the lovely Flowers For All Seasons designer series paper.

This is a simple box to make. It follows the 2,4,6 & 8 rule. Each side is the same and only uses one sheet of 6″ X 6″ DSP to decorate it. The background colour is cinnamon cider which is one of the new in colours. It matches the centres of the sunflower so well.

This little bag is perfect for a small gift for a special friend. You could put in their favourite mascara or lipstick. It makes the gift even more special.

Just a Note – Butterly Gala – Stampin’ Up!

This is a simple card when you just what to send just a note to someone. I love how these bright butterflies look on the woodgrain background. I’ve stamped on coloured cardstock which is in itself unusual for me but I like the effect.

This card features two in-colours, Magenta Madness and Just Jade. I’ve used rhinestones to give the butterflies some sparkly bodies. I’ve done a previous card using these butterflies to make a rainbow effect. They stamp beautifully and of course, they have a coordinating punch.
