Jar of Sunshine – Jar of Flowers – Stampin’ Up!

This lovely yellow is Bumble Bee and is one of the new 2020 -2022 in-colours. I love it! It is so bright and happy. The ribbon that the jar is sitting on is another new in-colour Cinamon Cider.

I’ve coloured in the images with the Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers. The jar is punched out and yes, I fussy cut out the flowers. I love all the bright yellow on this card but you can change up the colours to suit your fancy. There are a variety of bunches of flowers in the stamp set that you can choose and two sizes of mason jar.

Poppy Moments – Die Cut Card – Stampin’ Up!

I absolutely love how this card turned out using the Poppy Moments set of dies. The dies allow you to cut out both the solid image and the highlights allowing you to create these realistic flowers and leaves.

Poppy Moments - Die Cut Card - Stampin' Up!
Poppy Moments – Die Cut Card – Stampin’ Up!

In the UK, red poppies are a symbol of remembrance. I think personally they are also a symbol of the fact the life goes on. I love seeing the poppies in the grass verges in fields every year. The red poppies are so bold and vibrant and are a beautiful pop of colour against the green grass.

This card is perfect for someone who doesn’t like to stamp much as the die cuts do all the talking. I’ve used Real Red and the aptly named Poppy Parade for the poppies. The leaves are Old Olive and Shaded Spruce. I used Crumb Cake as the background colour as I felt white or black was too stark a contrast. The Crumb Cake is a lovely kraft neutral.

Thinking of Your Card

Hello again,

Today I have a gorgeous card using the Rooted in Nature stamp set. I love this set and it has matching framelits!!! This card can be a sympathy card or just a card to say I’m thinking of you.

This is a very simple card with a standard A6 card base and one additional piece of whisper white cardstock measuring 10cm x 14.35cm.

I love the blending of the yellows and oranges in this card. It’s one of my favourite parts of crafting; playing with colours

I hope you enjoy the card and video
