Today, I’m sharing a bright and fun Zig Zag Gatefold Card featuring the As You Go Designer Series Paper (DSP) from Stampin’ Up! and the Encircled in Love stamp set. This fold adds a little wow factor while still being simple to create, and it’s perfect for showcasing your favourite patterned papers.

This card comes together with a clever gatefold design that zig-zags open to reveal a bold and cheerful message inside. I used Azure Afternoon cardstock for the base, which pairs beautifully with the playful colours in the DSP.

The belly band keeps the card closed and adds an extra design element. It features the heartfelt sentiment “You’re on my mind and in my heart” from the Encircled in Love stamp set. I layered the sentiment and accented it with tiny gems for sparkle. I love that we still have circle punches, definitely a punch girl here.

If you’re dreaming of your next getaway or want to celebrate someone embarking on a new adventure, today’s travel-themed card is just the ticket! I had so much fun creating this vibrant design using the On The Go Designer Series Paper. It’s packed with playful travel icons, and I brought them to life with lots of fussy cutting and layered detail.

Travel in Style with Summer Splash and Strawberry Slush

I chose Summer Splash and Strawberry Slush cardstock as my base layers to echo the cheerful tones of the patterned paper. These bright, bold colours frame the card beautifully and make the images pop. The background is full of holiday vibes—think maps, cameras, luggage, and signposts—perfect for sending off a friend or family member with style.

Fussy Cutting – Free Embellishments

Every decorative element you see here—the suitcases, backpack, tag, passport and umbrella were fussy cut from the On The Go DSP. It’s a bit time-consuming, but it gives a ton of free embellishments to decorate your card. I love how the pieces overlap and interact, like the umbrella tucked into the suitcase or the tag layered with travel-themed embellishments.

A Sentiment Worth Celebrating

The “Time to Celebrate!” sentiment comes from the More Messages stamp set, and I used the coordinating die to get that clean, crisp cut. It’s a perfect phrase for any special moment—new job, big trip, graduation, or retirement—and fits right into the joyful, energetic theme of the card.

Measurements

  • Summer Splash Cardstock – A6 Card Base – This is an A4 sheet cut in half and then folded in half.
  • Strawberry Slush Cardstock – 14.35cm X 10cm
  • Basic White Cardstock – 14.35cm X 10cm
  • On The Go designer series paper (DSP) – 13.85cm X 9.5cm

How to Create a Suitcase Style Gift Box

How to Create a Suitcase Style Gift Box – Crafting with Ashee – Independent Stampin’ Up! Demo – Lincoln UK.

These adorable suitcase-style gift boxes are perfect for gifting small treats or keepsakes. They’re easier to make than you might think! I designed these boxes to open like a pizza box, which gives them both charm and functionality.

How to Create a Suitcase Style Gift Box - Crafting with Ashee - Independent Stampin' Up! Demo - Lincoln UK.
How to Create a Suitcase Style Gift Box – Crafting with Ashee – Independent Stampin’ Up! Demo – Lincoln UK.

I used two stunning Designer Series Papers for these boxes: the warm, rustic look of the Take to the Sky DSP for the brown-toned suitcase, and the soft, vintage feel of Country Lace DSP for the blue one. These papers give the boxes a unique character—one earthy and adventurous, the other elegant and sweet.

How to Create a Suitcase Style Gift Box – Crafting with Ashee – Independent Stampin’ Up! Demo – Lincoln UK.

Details That Make a Difference

To give the boxes a polished, vintage-travel feel, I created corner details using Crumb Cake cardstock punched with a 1″ circle punch. Each circle was cut into quarters and adhered to the corners. This simple detail gives a lovely faux-leather trim look that adds dimension and charm.

The top of each suitcase is decorated with ephemera die cuts from the Fully Flowing and Something to Say ephemera packs. One features a “Good Luck” sentiment in green, while the other shares a cheerful “So Happy for You” message beneath a beautiful floral piece.

These little boxes would be perfect for travel-themed party favours, graduation gifts, or just as a unique way to say “thinking of you.”

measurements

  • Early Expresso / Basic Beige Cardstock – 11 1/2″ X 8″ scored at 1 1/2″ on all sides. On the 11 1/2″ side, add two extra score lines at 5″ and 6 1/2″.
  • Take to the Sky / Country Lace designers paper (DSP):
    • 4 3/4″ X 3 1/4″ X 2 pieces
    • 4 3/4″ X 1 1/4″ X 2 pieces
    • 3 1/4″ X 1 1/4″ X 2 pieces

Want to Make These Too?

Add your own creative twist by switching up the papers, colours, and sentiments. These boxes are a fantastic way to use up scraps and experiment with layers and embellishments.

How to Create a Triple-Layered Stamped Card – Tutorial

How to Create a Triple-Layered Stamped Card – Tutorial – Impressions Abloom – Crafting with Ashee – Independent Stampin’ Up! Demo – UK

Today, I’m sharing a beautifully layered card that features one of my favourite new releases – the Impressions Abloom stamp and die bundle. For this project, I focused solely on the stamp set to create a striking triple-layered stamped card using a technique that looks intricate but is surprisingly easy to achieve.

How to Create a Triple-Layered Stamped Card – Tutorial – Impressions Abloom – Crafting with Ashee – Independent Stampin’ Up! Demo – UK

This design is perfect for sending a heartfelt message of appreciation, and the layered effect helps the florals pop. I’ve paired bold florals and foliage with subtle matting for a clean and professional finish. If you’ve never tried this technique before, you’re in for a treat.

Stamping with the Pretty Floral Stamp Set

To begin, I cut three pieces of Basic White cardstock in graduating sizes and lightly adhered them together with a repositionable adhesive. This allowed me to stamp across all three layers at once, creating a seamless floral design that flows naturally from one panel to the next.

For the first card, the flowers were stamped in Pretty in Pink and Strawberry Slush, with the centres in Blackberry Bliss to add depth and contrast. For the foliage, I used Soft Sea Foam as a base layer and added Garden Green to bring in rich detail and dimension. I created the second card using a monochromatic colour palette. I used Coastal Cabana and Pretty Peacock for the florals and Pool Party and Lost Lagoon for the foliage.

Once the stamping was complete, I matted each layer with Secret Sea / Pretty Peacock cardstock to create crisp borders.

How to Create a Triple-Layered Stamped Card – Tutorial – Impressions Abloom – Crafting with Ashee – Independent Stampin’ Up! Demo – UK

Measurements

  • Secret Sea / Pretty Peacock Cardstock – A6 Card Base – This is an A4 sheet cut in half and then folded in half.
  • Basic White Cardstock:
    • 14.35cm X 10cm
    • 12.35cm X 8cm
    • 10.35cm X 6cm
  • Secret Sea / Pretty Peacock Cardstock:
    • 12.85cm X 8.5cm
    • 10.85cm X 6.5cm

A Finishing Touch

To complete the card, I added a sentiment that reads “I appreciate you” in Strawberry Slush ink. A few adhesive gems scattered around the card front gave it some bling without overpowering the design.

This triple-layering technique is a fantastic way to showcase your stamps and create an eye-catching focal point. It’s also very versatile—just swap out the colours and sentiment to suit any occasion.

Cute Card to Accompany a Homemade Baked Gift. – Sweet Jar – Crafting with Ashee – Independent Stampin’ Up! Demo – Lincoln UK

If you’re like me, you know that a handmade gift deserves a handmade card! Today I’m sharing a cute card idea that’s perfect for pairing with a batch of homemade biscuits, fudge or any sweet treat. I created this card using the adorable Sweet Jar stamp and punch bundle from Stampin’ Up! I love how it turned out!

Cute Card to Accompany a Homemade Baked Gift. – Sweet Jar – Crafting with Ashee – Independent Stampin’ Up! Demo – Lincoln UK

A Sweet Design for a Sweet Gift

For the background, I chose a soft blue gingham paper from the Timless Plaid designer series paper (DSP). It reminds me of a cosy kitchen tablecloth, perfect for a baking-themed card. I layered that onto a bright, cheerful Melon Mambo cardstock to make everything pop.

The main focal point is the jar from the Sweet Jar bundle, stamped and cut out with a coordinating punch. I do love punches. Don’t you? I filled it with a vibrant bunch of stamped melon mambo sweets, perfect for sharing a little love! The jar is tied off with a twine bow for an extra touch of rustic charm, and I added a white ribbon to one side for extra texture and sweetness.

Details That Make a Difference

One of my favourite parts of this card is the beautiful stitched circle die behind the jar. This is from the Spotlight on Nature set. I’m so glad it carried over. The tiny cutouts around the edge add such a delicate, handmade feel — it frames the jar beautifully without overwhelming the design.

To finish it off, I added a few silver pearls scattered across the card for a little sparkle and shine. They pick up the light so nicely and give the card just the right touch of elegance.

The sentiment, “for you, a little treat,” couldn’t be more perfect for a gift tag card like this!

Measurements

  • Thick Basic White Cardstock – A6 Card Base – This is an A4 sheet cut in half and then folded in half.
  • Melon Mambo Cardstock – 14.35cm X 10cm
  • Timeless Plaid designer series paper (DSP) – 13.85cm X 9.5cm

Perfect for Any Occasion

Whether you’re gifting homemade biscuits, some honeycomb, or a jar of jam, this card is the perfect finishing touch. Imagine handing over a slice of cake with this handmade card — it’s a guaranteed way to make someone feel extra special.

Tip: You can easily customise the colours to match the treats you’re gifting or the season — think red and green for Christmas, pastels for spring, or rich oranges and browns for Autumn!

Easy!! Use Your Layering Stencils without the Stamp Set. Thankful Garden. Crafting with Ashee – Independent Stampin’ Up! Demo. UK.

Today I’m sharing a fun and simple project that proves you don’t always need the matching stamp set and dies to create a gorgeous card! Using just the Thankful Garden layering stencils, some vibrant inks, and a few finishing touches, I made this beautiful floral card that’s perfect for a friend.

Easy!! Use Your Layering Stencils without the Stamp Set. Thankful Garden. Crafting with Ashee – Independent Stampin’ Up! Demo. UK.

How I Made It

I started by layering the Thankful Garden stencils directly onto a piece of white cardstock. Using blending brushes, I added colour with a light hand, building up the intensity until I was happy with the result.

  • Highland Heather / Pretty in Pink for the lighter petals
  • Gorgeous Grape / Pretty in Pink for the deeper, detailed petal layers
  • Lemon Lime Twist for the base of the leaves
  • Granny Apple Green to highlight and add dimension to the leaves

The notches on the top of these stencils make them a breeze to line up. Of course, because they are layered, you get amazing depth without needing extra tools or tricks!

Why You Should Try This

If you’ve ever hesitated to buy layering stencils because you thought you needed the full bundle (stamps, dies, everything) — this card shows you don’t!
The stencils alone can create a full, stunning focal point. It’s quick, it’s affordable, and it gives you so much flexibility to create your custom looks.
