Bunny “Singing in the Rain” Friendship Card – Playing in the Rain – Crafting with Ashee – Independent Stampin’ Up Demo – UK

I love this bunny singing in the rain. The story I told myself, was that he was the bunny version of Gene Kelly. So cute!! This card showcases several techniques including colouring with Stampin’ Blend alcohol markers, heat embossing and emboss resist.

The background stamp set is the Drizzling Droplets stamp. It is an online exclusive. When I first saw it I knew I wanted to use it with this bunny from Playing in the Rain. I love background stamps. Do you?

Don’t these cupcakes look delicious? They are from the Pocket Thoughts stamp set and are coloured using the Stampin’ Blend alcohol markers. I created the background with various techniques using the colours Coastal Cabana and Pool Party. These colours make the cupcakes really pop from the background. Check out the video below for the full tutorial.

I don’t have a clue what to call this fancy fold. Do you? I found it on Pinterest when I was searching for ideas. I’ve called it a pop out card as the front panel pops out. It is not a complicated card to make. I would recommend you make a template for yourself before you make it. It helps you understand the construction.

The lovely paper is the Mediterranean Blooms designer series paper (DSP). The above design is lemons and below is oranges. Which do you like best?

I love these children on their pretend boat seeking out adventures. So cute!! I’ve built the scene to look as if they are at sea but we know it’s all in the imagination. I used to love making up stories as a child and playing games based on stories I read—different times, before computers.

This is a simple diagonal card design. I cut the designer series paper (DSP) on the diagonal, point to point and used both pretty patterns. The stamp set is Attention Shoppers and the sentiment is perfect for this card with the two gift bags.

If you open the card you will find a tuck spot for a gift card or voucher.

I love that the sentiments in this set match the images perfectly. You can pile anything you want into this trolley. Below is an example of a trolley filled with flowers. Perfect!! You can use any little images you have in your stash.

I’ve used the Wink of Stella clear pen to sparkle the trolley frame. The plain cardstock looks like metal. Do you agree?

I’m back with another floral card. This one features the Simply Zinnia stamp and die bundle. This card is bright and happy. I’ve kept the colour palette limited to green, yellow and orange and they all work together well.

The image is coloured using the Stampin’ Blend alcohol markers. Remember always to use Memento Tuxedo Black when using these markers instead of Stazon. Another tip is to ensure the ink is dry before you start colouring. This limits the chance of the ink bleeding.

I only coloured in the focal image. This spotlights the image and makes it pop. The magnolia is coloured using the Stampin’ Blend alcohol markers. I combined Berry Burst and Bubble Bath to colour the petals and Granny Apple Green for the foliage.

I do love magnolias. They were a joy to see in the streets and gardens this Spring. They made me smile, and this card reminded me of that.

Make a Hedgehog Birthday Card – No Dimension – Happy Hedgehogs – Crafting with Ashee – Independent Stampin’ Up! Demo – Lincoln UK.

I have this happy hedgehog birthday card to share today. This card is flat with no dimension except for the pearls. As the cost of postage is going up, I’ve been looking at making some cards that will go through as a normal letter. Even the addition of the pearls can sometimes increase the postage as it is too thick for a normal letter. I wanted to show with this card that you can make still cute cards with a minimum or no dimension that will go through at the cheapest rate of postage.

Change it Up – How to Colour on Crumb Cake Cardstock – Little Monkey – Crafting with Ashee – Independent Stampin’ Up! Demo – Lincoln UK

I’ve been watching videos on YouTube showing people colouring on kraft cardstock. I decided to give it a go myself. This card is coloured using the Stampin’ Blend alcohol markers on Crumb Cake cardstock. I love how it turned out.

There are some points I would like to mention. Firstly, the colours show up differently on Crumb cardstock to Basic White cardstock. The colours can look darker and “wetter”. Let them dry and they change quite a bit. The colours lighten and become more defined. If you are unsure do a test on some scrap cardstock.
