What a Beauty – A Little Lace Birthday Card

What a Beauty – A Little Lace Birthday Card – Stampin’ Up! – Independant Stampin’ Up Demonstrator in Lincoln UK

I love this stamp set “A Little Lace” It is just beautiful. I’ve used it a few times before and every time I am just in awe of how pretty my projects turn out.

The colour used here is Gorgeous Grape. It is such a bold colour and contrasts so well with the Whisper White. I’ve done this layering technique before and have linked the project below. It is a simple technique but works well. The rhinestones just give that touch of bling and in all fairness who doesn’t need a little bling?

measurements

  • Gorgeous Grape A6 Cardbase – This is an A4 sheet cut in half and then folded in half
  • Gorgeous Grape Cardstock :
    • 13.85cm X 9.5cm
    • 12.85cm X 8.5cm
  • Whisper White:
    • 14.35cm X 10cm
    • 13.35cm X 9cm
    • 12.85cm X 8cm

I hope you are all doing well. I’m quite far ahead in my blogging so when I write this we have got through a heatwave. Although I deal with the heat and didn’t even need the fan except for about 10 minutes a night I am glad the temperatures have come down. I wish we could have got some rain though as the grass is parched.

What Better Way to Say thank you, than with Flowers

What Better Way to Say thank you, than with Flowers. Thank you card Tutorial using products from Stampin’! Up!

I love the Flowers for Every Season designer series paper (DSP) but I wanted to find a different way to use it. I went on Pinterest to look for inspiration and I saw people using banners. Hence I made this thank you card.

What Better Way to Say thank you, than with Flowers

One of my goals this year is to use the product I have. I have a tendency like a lot of crafters to hoard product and not use what I buy. I love getting new stuff, but now I get, I need to use. My strategy is not always successful but I’m getting better at it. One thing I alway buy and never use are embossing folders. The one used here is the Lace 3D folder. Isn’t pretty? I’m so pleased I pulled it out and used it. I’ve many more ideas of how to use this pretty embossing folder.

measurements

  • Misty Moonlight A6 cardbase – This is an A4 sheet cut in half and then folded in half
  • Whisper White – 14.35cm X 10cm
  • Flowers for Every Season DSP – 11.5cm X 7.5cm

Rainbow Banners – Birthday Card – Stampin’ Up!

I absolutely love how this card turned out. The rainbow of banners are just so much fun and how doesn’t love a rainbow?

Rainbow Banners - Birthday Card - Stampin' Up!
Rainbow Banners – Birthday Card – Stampin’ Up!

This type of card is a great way to use up your scraps. I’ve done many cards based on the rainbow theme and they always are a success. These are strips of cardstock that otherwise would have gone in the recycling. The one end is punched using the new “Banners Pick a Punch” punch from the new mini catalogue.

I do love rainbows. They are so special. I don’t think there is many people that don’t stop to marvel at the glory and beauty of a rainbow in the sky. They are a natural marvel that brings a smile to your face and feels you with joy at the wonder of nature.

Measurements

  • Strips of cardstock at least 15 cm long and 1.9 cm wide in:
    • Real Red
    • Pumpkin Pie
    • Daffodil Delight
    • Granny Apple Green
    • Pacific Point
    • Gorgeous Grape

Poppy Birthday Box – Peaceful Poppies

This poppy birthday box is a coordinating piece to the birthday card I posted below. I’ve used different patterns from the Peaceful Poppies designer series paper (DSP) to make this box. I think it turned out super cute. What do you think?

Poppy Birthday Box - Peaceful Poppies
Poppy Birthday Box – Peaceful Poppies

I especially love the pattern above with the red poppies against the blue background. It is so pretty. I’ve always thought blue and red go very well together.

The sentiment used here is the same as the card I posted on Wednesday. The stamp set is Peaceful Moments and has some great sentiments. I’ve used the circle punches so that you need no dies to make this box.

measurements

  • Poppy Parade – 8″ X 8″ scored at 2″ on all sides
  • Peaceful Poppies DSP – 7 1/16″ X 7 1/16″ scored at 1 1/2″ on all sides

I’ve made this box before using the Magnolia Lane DSP and Mossy Meadow cardstock last year and thought I would make it again. It is a very simple and easy box to make and can be made in bulk easily. I also must say I love the Poppy Parade textured weave ribbon. I have a few reels of it and just have not been using it so I want to change that too.

Poppy Birthday Card - Stampin' Up!
Poppy Birthday Card – Stampin’ Up!

I’ve kept this card super simple and just let the DSP doing the talking. It is such gorgeous paper that you really don’t’ have to do much to make a beautiful card. The red is aptly named Poppy Parade as well.

I’ve made a box to coordinate with this card and it will be on the next blog post in two days time.

Do you like Poppies? Next to my gym, there is patch of scrubland and every year I love seeing the beautiful red poppies. They look so striking against the green of the grass. They are also a wonderful symbol of course of remembrance and hope.

Spring Card – Bird Ballad – Peaceful Moments

I have this lovely Spring card to share with you. The bird ballad paper is gorgeous and this blossom pattern reminds me of Spring.

Spring Card - Bird Ballad - Peaceful Moments - Stampin' Up!
Spring Card – Bird Ballad – Peaceful Moments – Stampin’ Up!

I love the soft pastel colours of this card. This card is great for a spring wedding card or birthday card. As you may know, I do like simple cards with simple sentiments. They are easy to make but still look beautiful.

I find myself using these stitched shaped dies a lot. The stitching detail is lovely and they come in a variety of shapes. I was so sad when we lost our oval punches but these certainly fill the gap.

measurements

  • Pool Party A6 Cardbase – This is an A4 sheet cut in half and then folded in half
  • Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper – (DSP) – 14.35cm x 10cm
