A Special Card for Mother’s Day – Hydrangea Hills Designer Series Paper – Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator based in Lincoln UK.

We made this card in my February Virtual Card Club that I host in my Facebook group. It was so cute I wanted to share it with you too. The Hydrangea suite of products in the mini catalogue is my favourite one out of the whole catalogue. As you know I am a sucker for anything floral and this ticks all my boxes. It has lovely stamps, paper, dies and of course embellishments, what more could a girl want?

I’ve matched the colours of the die cut hydrangeas to the paper, keeping everything in blue and purple tones. I want to draw you attention to the pastel pearls. They are simply gorgeous. Please do check them out as they coming in a few colours and yes, I’ve fallen in love with them.

Measurements

  • Gorgeous Grape A6 Cardbase – This is an A4 sheet cut in half and then folded in half
  • Hydrangea Hills Designer Series Paper – 14.35cm X 10cm

This is a really good size box that would be useful not only as a gift box but also as a storage box. The paper is gorgeous isn’t? It is the Flower & Field designer series paper which is a freebie I got during Sale-a-bration. There is very little wastage with this box as the belly band is made using the left over cardstock from making the base.

I really love how this card turned out. The two step stamping is quite sketchy and it looks good. I’ve used this set before and coloured it in using the Stampin’ Blend alcohol markers. It gives a totally different effect and makes this set so versatile. The colour here is Melon Mambo and is my favourite pink colour of all time. It’s so bold, bright and utterly beautiful to me. I have quite a few embellishments which I don’t alway use, hence the sequins. They look great don’t they?

I love these layered flower sets. This one is called Art Gallery. I’m writing this blog a couple of days before Christmas. A friend of my mothers has gone into hospital for a knee replacement operation. I made this card to send to her and I thought I would share it with you. The epoxy clear gems in the centre of the flowers make the card pop and give it dimension.

Try This Pretty Gift Box filled with Yummy Chocolates using the Peony Garden Designer Series Paper – Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator based in Lincoln UK

Try This Pretty Gift Box filled with Yummy Chocolates
Try This Pretty Gift Box filled with Yummy Chocolates

I’ve not been going out much in the last few months. The other week I ventured out to Poundland. I went early around 8am before anyone was around. I picked up these chocolates and decided to make a little box to give them as little gift.

The paper here is the Peony Garden. It is a quite a pastel set of paper and therefore looks good against a dark background. I think the glittered black ribbon just make this box.

measurements

  • Basic Grey cardstock – 10″ X 5 3/4″, scored:
    • On the 10″ side at 1″,4 1/2″, 5 1/2″ & 9″
    • On the 5 3/4″ at 1″ & 8″
  • Peony Garden Designer Series Paper –
    • 3 1/2″ X 3 1/4″ X 1
    • 3/4″ X 3 1/2″ X 2

Look at these Pretty Flowers – Two-Step Stamping – All Things Fabulous – Stampin’ Up!

When I showed my mother this card she was in awe of these flowers. They stamp so beautifully and look realistic. I used the stamparatus stamping tool and had not problem lining up the layers. I started with my lightest colour working towards the darkest. The stamp set is All things Fabulous and of course has matching dies to cut everything out, making super duper easy to make this card.

Do you Love Peonies in the Garden?

Do you Love Peonies in the Garden? – Peony Garden – Stampin’ Up! Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator based in Lincoln Uk.

I love Peonies. They are some big, beautiful blooms. I’ve created this Peony Garden thank you card using the designer series paper of the same name. This paper is all pastels so perfect those who like a less bright and bold card.

Do you Love Peonies in the Garden? Peony Garden Thank You Card - Stampin' Up!
Do you Love Peonies in the Garden? Peony Garden Thank You Card – Stampin’ Up!

This is a simple technique. I’ve taken a piece of dsp and divided into three. The centre panel has then been flipped to show the other side. I’ve finished with a simple sentiment and some rhinestones.

I’ve been reading a lot of comments in social media about the current situation in the world. Some are lovely and some I am saddened to say are down right vile. I think this is why I love crafting. It seems to bring the best out of people and I’ve met so many lovely people through it for which I am so grateful.

Measurements

  • Thick Whisper White A6 Cardbase – This is an A4 sheet cut in half and then folded in half
  • Peony Garden DSP – 14.35cm X 10cm, cut at 5 cm on each side of the 14.35cm

What Better Way to Say thank you, than with Flowers

What Better Way to Say thank you, than with Flowers. Thank you card Tutorial using products from Stampin’! Up!

I love the Flowers for Every Season designer series paper (DSP) but I wanted to find a different way to use it. I went on Pinterest to look for inspiration and I saw people using banners. Hence I made this thank you card.

What Better Way to Say thank you, than with Flowers

One of my goals this year is to use the product I have. I have a tendency like a lot of crafters to hoard product and not use what I buy. I love getting new stuff, but now I get, I need to use. My strategy is not always successful but I’m getting better at it. One thing I alway buy and never use are embossing folders. The one used here is the Lace 3D folder. Isn’t pretty? I’m so pleased I pulled it out and used it. I’ve many more ideas of how to use this pretty embossing folder.

measurements

  • Misty Moonlight A6 cardbase – This is an A4 sheet cut in half and then folded in half
  • Whisper White – 14.35cm X 10cm

Happy Birthday Balloon Card – Stampin’ Up!

I have this very simple card to share with you today featuring this “Happy Birthday Balloon”. This card has been stamped using markers rather than ink pads. This is a great technique and I am so excited to share it with you.

Happy Birthday Balloon Card - Stampin' Up!
Happy Birthday Balloon Card – Stampin’ Up!

This is such a fun stamp. The whole balloon including sentiment is one stamp. I’ve used the 2020-2022 in-colour Stampin’ Write Markers. There are five colours in the pack:

  • Misty Moonlight – Blue
  • Magenta Madness – Pink
  • Just Jade – Green
  • Bumblebee – Yellow
  • Cinnamon Cider – Brown

This gives you a great range of colours at a much lower price point than the stamp pads. Stamping with markers also gives you so much control over where you apply the colour. You can even have different colour flowers instead of them all being the same as I’ve done.

measurements

  • Misty Moonlight A6 Cardbase – This is an A4 sheet cut in half and then folded in half
  • Whisper White – 14.35 x 10cm

I should say the stamp set used here is “Hooray To You”. I am going to be using it over and over again. It would look great heat embossed as well.

Tearing Effect – Field of Flowers – Stampin’ Up!

I have a fun technique to share with you in this card. This using the tearing effect to create these ruffled edges that frame the focal image.

Tearing Effect - Field of Flowers - Stampin' Up!
Tearing Effect – Field of Flowers – Stampin’ Up!

This image is all one stamp. I’ve stamped in it Mossy Meadow, the same colour as the cardstock. I tore the cardstock and then cut everything down to the size I wanted. The ruffled edge of the Mossy Meadow looks like the rough edges of the grass. I think it works well.

The card seemed a little dull to me until I had the bright idea to add the red rhinestones. I think they bring the whole card together and give a lovely pop of colour. In my mind they are little red poppies in the grass verge.
