I have to say I love seeing windmills as you explore the countryside. I went to Amsterdam back in 2017 for Stampin’ Up! Onstage Live and have tons of photos I want to still scrapbook. I think this windmill will make a cute embellishment on a page.

We actually have a windmill here in North Lincoln that dates back to 1798. I love driving by it and want to visit it next time it is open to the public. Another great photo for a scrapbook page.

As I have said ad infinitum my favourite flowers are tulips. I love them. This bunch of tulips makes me so happy. I’ve made it into a mother’s day card as mother’s day is on 27th March here in the UK. The Flowering of Tulips stamp set is a two-step stamp set. I used the stamparatus to stamp it and made the stamping so easy.

measurements

  • Basic White – 14.35cm X 10cm. I cut this pannel down when I’ve made the card.

This little box holds four little love hearts. What a dinky little gift. I have a little box of sweets and chocolates in my craft room that I keep specifically to use for craft projects. This box is designed to fit these sweets. I have tons of the Pansy Petals designer series paper (DSP) which I am trying to use up. It’s way too pretty not to use.

Daffodils How to Water Colour with Ink Pads – Daffodil Daydream – Crafting with Ashee – Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator – Lincoln UK.

This month, the Focus Friday videos have been concentrating on colouring. Today we are looking a colouring with ink pads and water painters. You can also use a reinker. I tend to add a dot of reinker to the lid of the ink pads. I pick this colour up with my water painter. Don’t touch your brush to the actual ink pad though.

Am important consideration when watercolouring is what paper to use. I use either shimmer white cardstock or our Fluid 100 watercolour paper. If you use Basic White you will find the paper will pill. You need a paper that will stand up to the amount of water you will be using. Watercolour paper will have a texture to it so it is useful to use the Stamparatus get to a crisp clean image. I used Stazon ink to stamp as it’s permanent.

I love daffodils. They are so happy and yellow. I look forward to seeing them every year. This card is totally made from die-cuts. You can sponge the flowers for added interest as well. If you shape the flowers as you stick them together you will get a 3D effect.

Welcome to another post in my Focus Friday series. Each month I chose a new set of techniques or products to focus on. For the month of February, we are going to be focusing on Colouring. Today’s post is all about colouring with the Stampin’ Blend alcohol markers.

I love this method of colouring as it’s quick and easy. The results are great and there are no lines from colouring to worry about. Stampin’ Blend markers come in a light and dark of each colour making shading and blending so easy. I tend to put down my light colour first and then add accents with a darker one. You do the reverse, of course, it’s what works best for you. As with all colouring take your time, build up the layers and practice makes perfect.

I hope this finds you well. This year I’ve decided to shake things on my blog. I will still post three times a week as normal, so don’t worry. Today I introduce to you my first offering in a new series called “Focus Friday”. Let me explain.

Each month this year we will be focusing on a different tool or product. Each Friday we will try out a different technique with that product or tool. For January I have chosen embossing folders. Each Friday this month we will make a card using an embossing folder in a different way.

Today we are using the embossing folder in the most simple way to add interest to the background. I’ve paired it with a gorgeous floral frame from the Eden dies and a simple sentiment.

Happy New Year everyone!! I hope you had a lovely Christmas and New Year. I took a break in blogging between Christmas and New Year but I’m back now. Here is my first project of the year and I hope you like it.

I love how the clean and simple looks of this card. There is lots of white space and that is nothing to be afraid of. The sentiment is nestled in the foliage with jewels and rhinestone giving it some extra bling.

The sentiment on this card is lovely. Any day is a beautiful day to love. Showing kindness and love in small ways is something we should try and do each day. The smallest act of love can make such a difference to someone else.

I love background stamps. I have a huge collection and never purge any of them. They are so useful to create easy backgrounds in cardmaking, scrapbooking and of course art journaling. The gems are the Wonderful Gems and I’ve used them to look like berries scattered through the foliage. You could also heat emboss the Festive Foliage stamp set and then colour them in using your watercolour pencils. It would look fabulous.
