As I am sure I’ve said many a time, daisies hold a special place in my heart. My granny had a yellow daisy bush in her garden and I’ve many pictures of it growing up. They are such happy flowers and of course, they are related to sunflowers.

I coloured these daisies using the Stampi’ Blend alcohol markers. I inked the background in Balmy Blue, which really makes the yellow / orange of the daisies pop.

I love yellow daisies. They look so happy and bright. My grandmother always had a yellow daisy bush in her garden back in South Africa. She used to pick some and have them in a little vase on the table.

I’ve mad this daisy look more 3D in a number of ways. The flower is actually four daisies of two sizes that I have punched out. They have then been run through an embossing folder and curled using a bone folder.

Beautiful Daisies – Stampin’ Up! Card Tutorial

I have this beautiful daisies card to share with you today. I do love daisies, they are such bright and cheerful flowers. Do you like daisies? My grandmother always had a yellow daisy bush in her garden and I still love them.

Beautiful Daisies - Stampin' Up! Card Tutorial
Beautiful Daisies – Stampin’ Up! Card Tutorial

The colours used here are Mango Melody, Crushed Curry and Daffodil Delight. They are from different Stampin’ Up! colour families but they go well together. They make a great sunny and happy card. I’ve embossed the background with the Country Floral embossing folder to give added interest.

measurements

  • Mango Melody A6 Cardbase – This is an A4 sheet cut in half and then folded in half
  • Whisper White – 14.35cm x 10cm

I used this stamp set, Daisy Lane, twice last year and never again. I don’t know why, as it is such a nice set. I’ve stamped it in the corresponding ink to the cardstock for a tone on tone effect. The gold faceted gems give the centres that touch of bling.

Daisy Lane Thank you Card Tutorial

Daisy Lane and Daisy Delight are being used here together to create this simple thank you card. Both of these stamps sets coordinate beautifully with the Daisy Punch making them even more useful.

I love the fact that the Daisy punch, punches the daisies in both the Daisy Lane and Daisy Delight stamp sets. This makes them so useful to the crafter who is always looking to find more ways to use their stash.

measurements

  • A6 cardbase in Merry Merlot – ( A6 cardbase is an A4 sheet cut in half and then folded in half)
  • Whisper White – 14.35cm x 10cm

As I have said before I do love daisies. Our daisies are still flowering beautifully here in Lincoln. We have purple, yellow and white ones in the garden. I think flowers really do brighten up the world.

The Daisy Lane stamp set is available to purchase as a bundle with the medium daisy punch at a saving of 10%.

I have stamped the daisy onto the whisper white cardstock, before layering over the punched daisy, so that when you fluff the petals up you won’t see white space underneath. The Gold Faceted Gems gives the centre of the daisy a real bling element. The mini bubbles are from the Artisan Textures set and simulate pollen blowing in the breeze.

Daisy Daisy, give me your answer

This Daisy birthday card reminders me of the old song we used to sing as children. The card uses both the large Daisy punch as well as the Daisy Lane stamp set.

Daisy Lane Birthday Card, made using supplies from Stampin' Up!

I love daisies, as Meg Ryan said in You’ve Got Mail, “They’re so friendly”. My Granny always had a beautiful big yellow daisy bush in her garden back in South Africa. I have many pictures it and of me standing in front of it. Daisies therefore hold a special place in my heart as they remind me of my Granny. We couldn’t find a yellow Marguerite in the UK for years but we have one now which is starting to flower this year.

This card uses a plethora of techniques including, emboss resist, inking and punching. I enjoy mixing things up and seeing what happens.

Bold and Bright colours are my thing and this card ticks both those boxes for me. I have used the Mango Melody, So Saffron and Daffodil Delight inks to make a blended background.

The stamp set is a new set called Daisy Lane which is companion set to the Daisy Delight set that carried over. They both coordinate with the large and medium Daisy punch. If you already have the one set then this is a great addition to your stash.

Measurements

  • Night of Navy A6 Card base
  • Whisper White 14.35cm x 10cm

I did video showing all the steps to make this card which is below with the supply list.
