This is a cute twist on a traditional gift box. It is easy to make and is a nice hidden surprise for someone. I added a little ribbon pull to make it easier to pull out. The little treat is some love hearts sweets nestled in crinkle paper. You can decorate the inside and outside of the box if you wish though I’ve only done the outside.

Have you started to prepare for Christmas? I’ve started on my cards already and am also make a couple of mini albums too. I only have my mother to buy presents for her and she is super easy to buy for her. My family are all in South Africa and Australia and so it’s not so easy to send presents to South Africa in particular.

I love making little gift boxes and bags. I’ve made this style before but I just love how cute it looks. The binder clip closure is just something different. It also uses up my huge stash of clips. I love stationery and have a collection of different paper clips, binder clips and lots more. Sad but true.

The paper is the Harvest Meadow designer series paper (DSP) and I love these bright and joyful colours. This gift box uses Bumble Bee and Misty Moonlight. These are both primary colours and work well together.

The cherry cobbler ribbon on this box really makes it special. You won’t believe how long I fiddled and fiddled with that box to try and make it look half decent. Bows are really not my forte. The paper is beautiful wintery Painted Chistmas. I love this design. Its wintery but not necessarily Christmas which makes it so versatile.

This is a bag but it has a rectangular base like a box. As the patterned paper is wrapped around the base there are no corners but rather these lovely curves instead. I’ve made this bag before earlier this year and wanted to try it again for Autumn with this Harvest Meadow designer series paper (DSP).

I’ve made this box a few times but this time I added ribbon to make it into a hanging decoration. The paper is the Penguin Playmates DSP that is free during sale-a-bration. You could quite easily make this with any patterned paper though to suit any occasion. I think this will look dinky hanging from the tree with a little treat inside. Handmade decorations are so special I think. They have a story to them and can become items to treasure through the years.

This box looks more complicated to make than it actually is. It really is very easy. It is another of the projects we made in a recent card club in my Facebook Group. I wanted to share it with you. I am trying to expand the range of gift boxes and bags I make. So what is a girl to do for inspiration but go on Pinterest! I found this little box on there and just adapted the measurements and decoration for my tastes.

How cute are these? I struggled with the design for a cute little box for ages and then made this design my mistake and decided to stick with it. The pretty paper is from the Sweet Symmetry suite and gives this project a lovely summer vibe. I did two colour ways, Just Jude and Calypso Coral. Which do you like best? So pleased with how this came out. I used Calypso Coral cardstock. I never use this colour but oh my it looks good with this You’re a Peach designer series paper (DSP). These are really good size gift boxes. They are super easy to make I promise you. I did struggle to see the score lines when I was filming the box on the left. Oh boy!! I couldn’t see those pesky lines for love nor money. I tilted the paper and actually marked them with my pencil off camera. Did it though. The paper is quite masculine as it is the Well Suited designer series paper (DSP). I gave it a little extra touch with the punched flowers and red rhinestones.
