Stencils/masks are a quick and easy way to make a background for your cards. Here I’ve used two of the masks from the Artistic Masks set. I’ve layered them up to create this fun pattern. Layering stencils allow you to add texture and depth of interest to your backgrounds.

These cards are very tonal. I laid the colour down with a blending brush, using the lighter colour first and adding interest with the darker one. I made this card in two different colour ways. Which do you prefer?

This is a card I made for April Card Club and I wanted to share it with you. This uses just the dies from the Wisteria Wishes bundle. I love the purples and greens together. They make me think of Spring.

I’ve inked the edges of all the elements in this card. This adds shadow, giving depth and dimension to each die cut. It only takes a minute to do this but it really makes a difference to the finished project.
