I have this simple card to share with you today. The whole image is just one stamp. It’s stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black. My idea was for the finished card to look like a pencil sketch, hence no colouring.

The black and white theme makes a striking card. The image pops from the background. I used the Deckled Rectangle dies which have a torn edge effect. This works with the pencil sketch theme of the card.

Isn’t this panda adorable? Just hanging out on this branch watching the world go by. I coloured the branches and leaves using the Stampin’ Blend alcohol markers. I think they are my favourite colouring medium. The details in this panda are just amazing. You could colour in the panda as well but I left it as I liked the shading the stamping gave it.

Instead of just having a plain green background I added extra interest with a background stamp. The background stamp used here is Sketched Plaid. The stamping is tone-on-tone just to give some subtle interest.

Isn’t this little koala the cutest? I love him just hanging out in the tree. As you may remember my maternal family are from South Africa. Some of that family have left South Africa to go to Australia. I was thinking of them as I made this card.

I coloured this koala using watercolour pencils and a blender pen. This makes for super quick and easy colouring.
