Isn’t this frame gorgeous? It is from the Ornate Layers die set. I’m ashamed to say this has sat in my stash for the last year unused. Silly me as it’s so pretty. I’m definitely going to be using this more in the future. The paint swatch in the background is from Brushed Blooms. I stamped in once and did second and third generation stamping to create this effect.

How to Make A Poppy Thank You Card – Painted Poppies – Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator based in Lincoln UK.

This is a really simple card to make but it is simply stunning if I do say so myself. The stamp set is Painted Poppies and the other aptly enough is Poppy Parade. When the poppy suite came out in the mini catalogue last year, I was in love. I’ve used it numerous times and I will be keeping this set forever, even after it perhaps retires. I will link some of the other projects I’ve used it in below.

I stamped the image of the poppies twice to get a long enough panel and then coloured them using the Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blend alcohol markers. Isn’t great how everything matches in the world of Stampin’ Up!

Measurements

  • Poppy Parade A6 Cardbase – This is an A4 sheet cut in half and then folded in half
  • Basic White – 14.35cm X 10cm
  • Poppy Parade designer series paper – 10.5cm X 8cm
  • Basic White – 10cm X 7.5cm

I love making these cards with big, bold sentiments. They pop and make a real statement. The stamp set I used is “Ornate Thanks”. I used the heck out of this set. It’s one of my favourites. The designer series paper (DSP) is the “Oh So Ombre” pack. It is one of the items you can get free during Sale-a-bration and it’s Bermuda Bay!! A favourite colour of mine. What could be better.

The designer series paper (DSP), the stamp set and punch were part of a bundle of products we could order ahead of Onstage at Home. Onstage at Home was our virtual convention that happened through the magic of computers. We used these items for the make and takes and I have been waiting for ages to share it with you.

Simple and Easy Elegant Thank You Card
Simple and Easy Elegant Thank You Card

The lattie work in the background of this card is all one die called the Many Medallions diet. I’ve used adhesive sheet to glue it to my cardstock so that I am not struggling with tiny beads of glue oozing it everywhere. It does make for a stunning backdrop for my sentiment. As usual I’ve used bold colours for a contrast so that everything pops from the page.

Red is Beautiful and not just for Christmas

Red is Beautiful and not just for Christmas – Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator based in Lincoln UK.

I do love the colour red and for me red is not just for Christmas. I’m not really into pastels, I love bright and bold colours. Which do you prefer?

I’m really happy with how this card turned out. I love it. It uses a few new items to my stash. The new mini catalogue went live on 4th August. The Heartwarming designer series paper is from a new suite of products called Heartwarming Hugs.

Have you noticed the fantastic bow on the card? This is the new Gift Wrapped stamp set that has a matching gift bow builder punch. There are three different designs of bow that can be punched out. How you colour them is up to you!!!

What Better Way to Say thank you, than with Flowers

What Better Way to Say thank you, than with Flowers. Thank you card Tutorial using products from Stampin’! Up!

I love the Flowers for Every Season designer series paper (DSP) but I wanted to find a different way to use it. I went on Pinterest to look for inspiration and I saw people using banners. Hence I made this thank you card.

What Better Way to Say thank you, than with Flowers

One of my goals this year is to use the product I have. I have a tendency like a lot of crafters to hoard product and not use what I buy. I love getting new stuff, but now I get, I need to use. My strategy is not always successful but I’m getting better at it. One thing I alway buy and never use are embossing folders. The one used here is the Lace 3D folder. Isn’t pretty? I’m so pleased I pulled it out and used it. I’ve many more ideas of how to use this pretty embossing folder.

measurements

  • Misty Moonlight A6 cardbase – This is an A4 sheet cut in half and then folded in half
  • Whisper White – 14.35cm X 10cm
  • Flowers for Every Season DSP – 11.5cm X 7.5cm

In-Colours Thank You Card – Stampin’ Up!

I have a simple card to share with you today. It is an in-colours thank you card. It features Misty Moonlight and Magenta Madness. I think these are my two favourite new colours. I love them and plan to use them again and again.

In-Colours Thank You Card - Stampin' Up!
In-Colours Thank You Card – Stampin’ Up!

I think these two colours go so well together. The white also makes them pop. I am really loving the new patterns in the in-colour designer series paper. They are so fun. The strip of blue on the left hand side is actually Misty Moonlight ribbon. It is a gorgeous cotton type ribbon, beautifully soft and easy to tie into a bow, even for an idiot like me.

measurements

  • A6 cardbase in Misty Moonlight – This is an A4 sheet cut in half and then folded in half
  • Whisper White – 10cm x 10cm
  • Magenta Madness Designer Series Paper – 9.5cm x 9.5cm
  • Magenta Madness Designers Series Paper – 10cm x 5cm

The thank you sentiment is from a set called So Sentimental. It is a favourite of mine and I have used it time and time again. It has a nice variety of sentiments in various fonts.

So Grateful – Gratitude Card – Stampin’ Up!

This is a very simple card to express how grateful if you are to someone special. In the current circumstances I am so grateful that my mother is safe and sound with me. She is the only family I have in the UK and I am glad that I can be there for her as she is for me.

So Grateful - Gratitude Card - Stampin' Up!
So Grateful – Gratitude Card – Stampin’ Up!

This designer series paper (DSP) is from the Ornate Garden suite of products in the new catalogue. This paper is beautiful. These flowers would look beautiful fussy cut, though fussy cutting is not my forte. This sentiment is bold with a great font, my favourite type.

I’ve double matted the sentiment, firstly with terracotta tile cardstock and then with the ribbon. I think it gives it that little something extra.
