This is a lovely simple thank you card using the Amazing Thanks dies. We made this in my online card club back in January. If you want to join in the fun of Card Club then check out the details here.

I was so happy when I saw these lovely dies in the catalogue. They make for simple, easy and repeatable cardmaking. You can turn out a lot of these cards in a very short space of time. The gorgeous paper is the Sunshine & Rainbows designer series paper that I got free during Sale-a-bration.

This is a very simple card. I’ve used the complementary colours of Blue (Misty Moonlight) and Orange (Pumpkin Pie). These colours will pop next to each other as they are opposite each other in the colour wheel.

This is the second project in the Focus Friday – Embossing Folder series. This week we are looking at how to print using embossing folders. I’ve used the Checks & Dots embossing folder to create this lovely background. I used a brayer to ink my embossing folder. Check out the video below for more details. It’s such a fun technique.

Delicate Dahlias – How to Make Stamping Easy – Stamparatus – Two-step Stamping – Crafting with Ashee – Independent Stampin’ Up Demonstrator based in Lincoln UK.

Dahlias are beautiful flowers. I love going to our local nursery and seeing the sea of blooms. It’s so difficult to resist buying them all!! My favourite are the Waterfly style ones as opposed to the PomPom and Cactus styles. The bees also prefer the more open flowers as it’s easier to reach the pollen.

The background seemed too plain to me so I embossed it with the Bloom 3D embossing folder to give it some added interest. It works well without taking anything away from the focal image.

I love making thank you cards. We don’t send enough of them I feel. Such a little gesture can mean so much to someone. This one is very simple and has quite a few layers that pop from each other. The black and white designer series paper (DSP) is a freebie I got in Sale-a-bration. I love getting free paper but then what crafter wouldn’t?

Autumn Style Thank You Card – Made Easy – Beauty of Friendship – Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator based in Lincoln UK.

This card is so simple but so effective. I used the Beauty of the Earth designer series paper (DSP) to cut out the canopy of the tree. It is the same paper I’ve used in the background. I gutted the centre of the paper to make the tree canopy. This means I cut out the centre and then still use the outer shell. The basic white layer on top hides all the mess. This is a great way to make your DSP stretch further.

A really simple design. I find I am using lots of banners and strips of paper in my cards now days. This is a great way to use up scraps and not waste anything. I’ve coloured these lovely flowers using the Stampin’ Blend alcohol markers. The colour is Blackberry Bliss and really pops against the white.

Isn’t this frame gorgeous? It is from the Ornate Layers die set. I’m ashamed to say this has sat in my stash for the last year unused. Silly me as it’s so pretty. I’m definitely going to be using this more in the future. The paint swatch in the background is from Brushed Blooms. I stamped in once and did second and third generation stamping to create this effect.

I am part of a larger team of demonstrators here in the UK. In our group page we have every Monday, something called Mojo Monday. This week the colour challenge was to use Basic Grey, Bermuda Bay and Melon Mambo. This was my creation.

How to Make A Poppy Thank You Card – Painted Poppies – Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator based in Lincoln UK.

This is a really simple card to make but it is simply stunning if I do say so myself. The stamp set is Painted Poppies and the other aptly enough is Poppy Parade. When the poppy suite came out in the mini catalogue last year, I was in love. I’ve used it numerous times and I will be keeping this set forever, even after it perhaps retires. I will link some of the other projects I’ve used it in below.

I stamped the image of the poppies twice to get a long enough panel and then coloured them using the Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blend alcohol markers. Isn’t great how everything matches in the world of Stampin’ Up!

Measurements

  • Poppy Parade A6 Cardbase – This is an A4 sheet cut in half and then folded in half

I love making these cards with big, bold sentiments. They pop and make a real statement. The stamp set I used is “Ornate Thanks”. I used the heck out of this set. It’s one of my favourites. The designer series paper (DSP) is the “Oh So Ombre” pack. It is one of the items you can get free during Sale-a-bration and it’s Bermuda Bay!! A favourite colour of mine. What could be better.
