New Home – Card Tutorial – Stampin’ Up!

Earlier this year we had new neighbours. I wanted to give them a card to welcome to their new home but found I didn’t really have an appropriate set. This set called Coming Home from the new catalogue is perfect for that.

I’ve done a little bit of paper piecing here. The designer series paper (DSP) here is from the 2019-2021 in colours. They are Sea Side Spray and Rococo Rose. I’ve stamped the images on these sheets and cut them out with the matching dies. I’ve then fussy cut the rooves and stuck them on the main house images. They look rather cute I think.

Stained Glass Effect Card – Stampin’ Up!

Hello again. I’m back with another card to share with you. I’m calling this my stained glass effect card as I feel the back strips between each segment are like the black lead work on a stained glass window.

As you may know both Bermuda Bay and Coastal Cabana are favourite colours of mine. I’ve used them here together and they go rather well don’t you think? This card was inspired by a card by upline Amanda Fowler did with us in team training. I’m very pleased with how it turned out and am going to do a few more using different colour combinations. I will share them with you as well.

I use the Tombow multipurpose liquid glue to stick everything down on this card. Oh Boy!!! Did I get glue everywhere? I had it on my fingers, my craft mat, the cardstock, my silicone mat, etc…. I think you get the picture. Wet glue and me, don’t’ always get on. I have a bad habit of sticking my fingers in the glue!!!
