How to Use Stampin’ Up! Ink Pads for Heat Embossing – Phrases for All – Crafting with Ashee – Independent Stampin’ Up! Demo

Quite often, I find people forget that they can use the Stampin’ Up! ink pads for heat embossing. The pads are juicy and therefore, stay wet long enough for embossing. You do have to work quickly but it is easy to do. The colour I’ve used here is Pretty Peacock with the Phrases for All stamp set. You can’t see the embossing in the photo above but it is clear in the video below.

Pretty Peacock Cardstock – A6 Card Base – This is an A4 sheet cut in half and then folded in half.
Inked Botanicals Designer Series Paper (DSP) – 14.35cm X 10cm
Soft Stipped DSP – 13.85cm X 9.5cm
Basic White Cardstock – 14.35cm X 10cm

Ombre Stamping – Make a Simple Birthday Card – Biggest Wish – Crafting with Ashee – Independent Stampin’ Up! – Lincoln UK

I am resisting the Ombre technique. This allows you to merge two similar tones of colour on one image. It looks great and the best part is, that it’s very easy to achieve.

You can use a sponge dauber, blending brush or piece of sponge to achieve this effect. I stamped my image, which is my birthday sentiment in one lightest colour. In this example that is Flirty Flamingo. I then inked up the bottom part of the image with the darker colour and restamped it.

Simple Design – Look!! – Thank You Card – Phrases for All – Crafting with Ashee – Independent Stampin’ Up! Demo – Lincoln UK

All the papers here are from the Inked Botanicals Designer Series Paper (DSP) pack. Aren’t they pretty? I would never have thought to have used Lost Lagoon and Calypso Coral together but they work well with each. I will definitely use this colour combo again.

The stamp set is Phrases for All and is quickly becoming a favourite. I love the font. It has an art deco vibe to me. What do you think? I made this card in two colour variations, which do you like best?

Inked Botanicals – Make a Thank You Card

Inked Botanicals – Make a Thank You Card – Phrases for All – Crafting with Ashee – Independent Stampin’ Up! Demo – Lincoln UK

This card is perfect for those of you who prefer the more subtle muted colours in the Stampin’ Up range. It is colourful but not overly bright and bold. For once, I’ve not used Basic White cardstock but Very Vanilla. It just adds to this muted slightly vintage style I was going for.

The patterned paper is Inked Botanical. I love the mixture of colours in the collection. I’ve only used half a sheet of cardstock for each card but extended the feel of the paper through stamping. The little strip of going foil sheet just adds a touch of luxury to the card design.
