Make a Card with a Limited Colour Palette

Make a Card with a Limited Colour Palette – Beautiful Ballons – Crafting with Ashee – Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator – Lincoln UK

This card is colourful but I’ve only used a limited colour palette of primary colours. My first version uses Real Red, Crushed Curry and Azure Afternoon. I used the colours in the cardstock and the balloons. Repeating the colours gives the card a cohesive feel.

The second card is the same design but is of the pastel variety. The colours are Petal Pink, Balmy Blue and Lemon Lolly. Which version do you think is best? Let me know in the comments below.

New Circle Punch – Yeah!!!

New Circle Punch – Yeah!!! – Circle Sayings – Crafting with Ashee – Independent Stampin’ Up! Demo – Lincoln UK

We have a new circle punch. I’m so happy. If you know me, you’ll know that I love my punches. I hardly ever sell my retired punches and have quite the collection now. They are quick to use, don’t need any other equipment to use, and are easy to transport. Our new circle punch size is 2 3/8″. So useful for matting and layering. It works well with the circles in the Stylish Shapes dies.

I love interactive cards. They are so much fun to make and receive. I wanted to make a card that featured die cuts in the active element rather than stamping. I’ve had this die for a while and only used it once before. It was time it got to star centre stage again.

This card has a little wheel that whirls around showing you different images as you go around. Here I’ve used different coloured stars but you could equally stamp three little messages.

This is one of my go to style of cards. It’s a great way to stretch your designer series paper (DSP). I’ve used half a sheet of 6″ X 6″ paper. Sometimes I place the paper in the middle of the card and sometimes more to one side or the other.

The focal image is from Amazing Year. Such a beautiful simple bunch of flowers. They are coloured in using the Stampin’ Blend alcohol markers. Below is another way. Which do you prefer?

I love this stamp set. Such cute dinky images. I’ve coloured this little girl with the Stampin’ Blend alcohol markers. I love them. Really simply colouring. I used artistic licence with the colour of the bird as I wanted the contrast in colours. The paper is from Hugs of Happiness. It’s a rainbow design and you can see the other half of it below.

Butterfly Brilliance – Make This Vibrant Card With Me – Celebrate Sunflowers – Crafting with Ashee – Independent Stampin’ Up! Demo – Lincoln UK

I love the corals and oranges in this card. The butterflies are stamped in a black that I can heat emboss. I used Versafine onyx black. I then heat embossed in a clear embossing powder. This helps the watercolour stay in the lines. The watercolouring is very simple using Pumpkin Pie and Calypso Coral ink pads.

Little Ladybird, Will You Make My Wish Come True? – Hello Ladybug – Crafting with Ashee – Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator – Lincoln UK.

I adore this Hello Ladybug stamp set and have used it a number of times already. This little ladybird is just so cute. I’ve heat embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder so that it can be seen against the red patterned paper. Hopefully, this ladybird will make your wishes come true.

Quick and Easy Card with a Hidden Tag – Floral Gallery Dies – Tailored Tags Dies – Crafting with Ashee – Independent Stampin’ Up Demo – UK

This was a project we made in a recent card club. I host a monthly card line online in my Facebook Group. We gather together virtually once a month to have lots of crafty fun.

This card has a cute pocket on the front of the card to hold a tag or gift card. It’s therefore practical and decoration all in one. I love how this card turned out. The contrast between light, dark, bold and bright really works. The colours are Poppy Parade, Basic Black and Basic White and they all compliment each other perfectly. I was tempted to add more embellishments but I think it would distract rather enhance this card.

Easy Congratulations Card with No Stamping Required – Hand-Penned – Memory & More Cards – Crafting with Ashee – Independent Stampin’ Up Demo – UK.

This card uses the gorgeous Hand-Penned suite of products. Specifically, I’ve used the designer series paper (DSP) & Memory and More Cards. The Memory & More cards are not just for pocket scrapbooking, they work great for cardmaking as well.

I’ve inked the edges of everything. This helps each layer pop from the other. The sentiment is a sticker but I’ve popped it up with dimensional to make it stand out against everything else.
