I found this idea online. I’ve always made new year mini calendars and sticky note holders but the idea to combine the two is genius. These are easy to make and you can make 3 from 1 A4 sheet. Fabulous. It is also a great way to use up scraps of patterned paper.

Measurements

  • Real Red Cardstock – 8 1/4″ X 3 1/4″. Score on the longer side at 1 1/2″, 1 7/8″, 5 & 5 3/8″
  • Reindeer Fun designer series paper (DSP)
    • 2 7/8″ X 3″ X 1 piece
    • 2 5/8″ X 3″ X 1 piece
    • 1 1/4″ X 3″ X 2 pieces

You can choose your closure, either a magnet or a velcro dot. I’ve used a Velcro dot here. I think these would be lovely table favours for a Christmas or New Year party.

I love this fun pop-out gift card holder. I am a traditionalist when it comes to Christmas. The combination of green and red looks good together. The designer series paper (DSP) is Sentimental Christmas. It reminds me of those Victorian Christmases you see in some films.

You could alter the measurements to use them for gift vouchers instead of a gift card. I loved gift vouchers compared to gift cards. The gift cards can be reused but in reality that doesn’t happen. I have a box full of old ones that I use with my texture paste and reinkers.

I love to make little candy cane holders or pouches. I make them every year. Here is my offering this year. They are easy to make and hold one candy cane, though they could hold more.

They are great for using up scrap pieces of patterned paper which we all have. The snowflakes are the One of a Kind dies and I cut them from the Festive Glimmer Designer Series Paper (DSP).

I love to make my own Christmas decor. Do you? I’ve had these wooden baubles in my stash for years. Each year I take a few out to decorate. This year I’ve used the Snowy Wonder stamp set. I love all the cute images in this set. They are perfect to creat a wintery scene.

I stamped in a permanent ink and coloured in using the Stampin’ Write markers. The rhinestones in the centre of the snowflakes bring the whole design to life.

I love how these bookmarks turned out. They are easy to make. The background is ink-blended with Pool Party ink. I love the combination of the Pool Party and Cherry Cobbler colours. They make each other pop.

I found the magnetic pairs for the bookmark online. They are easy to apply and work very well. I like proper books as opposed to digital versions. Yes, they take up more space but I find them easier to read, especially non-fiction.

This cute Christmas tree was created using the background tree design from the Decorative Trees die set. I die-cut the image three times and folded each one in half in the centre. The paper is from the Take a Bow designer series paper (DSP). I made a red version below. Which do you like best?

Artful Amaryllis – How to Use it to Print on a Candle – Crafting with Ashee – Independent Stampin’ Up! Demo – Lincoln UK.

I love a pretty candle for Christmas, don’t you? They make a great centrepiece to a pretty foliage display. I used the Artful Amaryllis stamp set to create these gorgeous candles. The images were stamped on tissue paper and then embedded in the candle.

tips

It is easy, but be careful as hot wax is involved. One tip is to go slowly and print each image on its own. Don’t reheat areas as the wax will start to drip.Tissue paper has two sides, one glossy and one matt. I used the matt side. You can stamp and colour using markers, or in this case, I used the two-step stamping element to colour my image.

I love that Stampin’ Up! has introduced a range of ephemera packs to its range. They are great not only for quick and easy cards but for memory keeping such as scrapbooking as well. I love the image of the log cabin on the card above. It reminds me of the little log cabin from the “House in the Big Woods” by Laura Ingalls Wilder.

I like the combination of blues and reds in this card, although close to each on the colour wheel, they are both primary colours and compliment each other well. Gingham is one of my favourite patterns, what is yours? Artful Amaryllis is a two-step stamp set. This makes for quick and easy colouring of images. You can of course colour them yourself as I’ve done in this card.

I love how this card turned out. These are meant to be amaryllis flowers but I think they could pass for poinsettia ones as well. What do you think? These flowers were created using the Artful Amaryllis dies. I used Real Red and Old Olive cardstock which I inked to give more variation in colour.
