I love to read, do you? I know we have digital books but there is something special about real books. Nothing can beat it. I do admit I will buy fiction books digitally but never nonfiction. It’s just too hard to keep referencing back to previous pages digitally.

Making your own bookmarks is so easy and why not have something pretty to keep your page? This bookmark is a magnetic one. I bought the magnet pairs online a few years ago and still have tons left.

The inspiration for this project is the neighbourhood ginger cat. I don’t know where his home is but he loves to sunbath either in my drive or garden.

Who doesn’t like a Christmas cracker? I’ve been making my own crackers for years. These mini crackers are perfect to use as a nameplate for Sunday lunch. They would look good as Christmas Decor items, possibly wired into some garlands across the mantle piece.

They are die-cut using the Cracker and Treabox dies. Last year I showed a couple of ways to make up these crackers and a box to store them in. You can find the links below.

Every year I make candy cane pouches. This is what I came up with this year. I keep these in the house around December to give to visitors. You could also add a ribbon and hang them on the Christmas Tree.

These are easy to make in bulk as they are just little pockets. I’ve used a punch to add decorative detail to the opening. Do you like candy canes? If so what is your favourite flavour? Let me know in the comments below.

I made two versions of this Christmas Tree Tag. The one above is using only the dies. I cut the tree shape from the “A Walk in the Forest” designer series paper (DSP). I used a white pen to highlight the lights, which helped to bring the whole piece together.

Version 2

The tag below is stamped in Garden Green ink with white heat embossing to create the effect of snow. I kept to the primary colours, Real Red, Daffodil Delight and Azure Afternoon (blue) for my baubles. Don’t they look cute?

This cute gift box holds three little votive candles. The side panel is see-through. The window sheet is very sturdy and works well as the side panel. I didn’t use a die to create the window. I measured and cut the window using a ruler and craft knife. You don’t need lots of fancy tools to make something stunning.

I’ve made this little box using two different designer series paper packs. The top one is the Oxidized Copper paper and the bottom one is Snowflake Magic. They are both speciality paper and have lots of shine and sparkle to them. Which do you prefer?

I do love a shaker card. I’ve made quite a few this year. This card features the Merry & Bright bundle. The back panel is just one shaker window but of course, you see three separate shaker windows on the front.

The sequin mix is from stash. I am trying to use what I have and these colours match the card perfectly. The card front is hand-stamped. I love it, so colourful and bright.

I’ve made this basket using two different designer series paper (DSP). One is the Merry, Bold & Bright and the second is Beary Christmas. Which do you prefer? Let me know in the comments below.

I’ve used the Deckled Circle dies to create this lovely circle shaker ornament. I’m really pleased with how it turned out. Do you like it?

The Beary Cute punch punches out the bears in the “A Walk in the Forest” designer series paper (DSP). The Merriest Trees dies also cut the trees from the same DSP. I’ve used both here to create my scene in the ornament.

I will admit the silver and gold sequins in the shaker are from my stash so I can link to where I got them. I’m sure you have some in your stash too, that you can use.

The Berry Harvest stamp is a large background stamp. When I saw this one I knew I wanted to watercolour the image. I’ve heat-embossed the image with gold embossing powder. Heating embossing the image makes water colouring easy as the embossing helps you stay in the lines.

For my watercolouring, I used a water painter and my ink pads. Quick, easy and lots of fun. I do painting and colouring, do you?

I love all the different layering pieces to make these gorgeous Christmas lights. The Christmas light bulb is stamped in Real Red, Garden Green and Daffodil Delight. I’ve added extra layering details with the gorgeous silver glimmer paper. The best part of the glimmer paper is that it doesn’t shed glitter everywhere.

I have a question to ask, do you prefer white or coloured lights on the tree? I love the coloured ones more. They are much more cheerful. Let me know your answer in the comments below.
