I love heat embossing. It never loses its magic. White heat embossing on coloured cardstock is so effective. It makes the white text really pop from the background.

The stamp set is More Wishes and matches the font of the Biggest Wish stamp set in the annual catalogue. I love its big bold sentiments so this works for me.

Do you like heat embossing? I have quite a collection of different embossing powders. A goal is to use them more and explore all the various techniques for heat embossing.

I love this Christmas Mug. It is hexagonal in shape and very easy to make. It makes great gift packaging for some chocolates or biscuits. You can personalise it with the recipient’s name.

I always struggled to make a perfect hexagon-shaped box or bag. Inspiration struck, and I went online to find some hexagon templates. This means that I always have the perfect hexagon shape on the base of my creations. Everything then just falls into place. Here are the templates I use.

This is a very simple Christmas card that we made in October card club. The die cuts layer up to give interest and dimension to the wreath. The lovely red bow sets off the whole design. I have only added glue at the centre of the bow so it fluffs up nicely.

The stamp set is Merry & Bright and is quickly becoming a favourite. I love this font. They are so easy to cut out around the coloured rectangle. Anything that is easy wins my vote.

This circle card is made using the Deckled Circle Dies. When I saw these in the new catalogue I was so excited. I love circle dies, they are so useful!! This card will fit into a standard C6 envelope.

The card will stand up even though the photograph shows it is lying flat. The paper is the gorgeous Beary Christmas. I’m in love with this pretty paper. Do you love it as well? Let me know in the comments below.

This is a very simple design. The Merriest Trees dies has 3 similar trees in different sizes. I lined them up with some embellishments and that is my card design. This was made for my online card club. This club focuses on dies more than stamping. You can check out the details here.

The Merriest Trees dies has many extra details you can add to the card. This includes a die that cuts out strands. These can be tinsel, popcorn strands etc… Just use your imagination. These strands would look amazing cut out of foil sheet as well. There are presents, stars and lots of other little embellishments to decorate your tree as you wish.

I love stamping my own patterned paper. Do you? The inspiration for the colours I used here came from the Snowflake Magic speciality designer series paper. It is a lovely foiled set of papers. I’m only using a little bit at a time I am hoarding it as it’s just so pretty.

When I first designed this card, I felt something was missing. It was an embellishment. The glitter sequins in the middle of the snowflakes bring the whole card to life. Do you agree? I think it would be nice to create a set of cards of this design in different colours to give as a gift. A future project down the line.

I do love stencils. They are amazing. There is so much you can do with them. I get every stencil Stampin’ Up! release. They are perfect for easy backgrounds and focal images alike.

The stencil I’ve used today is part of the Abundant Beauty pack. It creates a simple autumnal background. You can use just one ink colour or multiple colours as I’ve done today. I took my blending brushes and ink pads and had lots of fun.

I have this great-sized gift box to share with you today. This box will hold a set of A6 cards and envelopes. What a great Christmas gift.

This is a simple box to make. It measures 6 3/4″ X 5″ and is 2″ deep. I’ve made the box into different colour combinations. Which one do you like best? Let me know in the comments below.

The sentiment for here is stamped in Real Red / Blueberry Bushel Ink. This is dried and the sentiment is restamped using Versamark ink and embossed with clear embossing powder. This is a great trick if you don’t have a ton of different coloured embossing powders.

New Ideas for Heat Embossing – Christmas Card – More Wishes – Crafting with Ashee – Independent Stampin’ Up! Demo – Lincoln UK

Most of the time we heat emboss on plain cardstock and more often than not on white cardstock. Here I’ve heat embossed on designer series paper (DSP). It really works well. The one thing to remember is to choose a colour of embossing powder that will really pop against your background. Here the white really pops against the dark background.

I’ve added mini embellishments here, letting the heat-embossed sentiment be the star of the show. The stamp set is More Wishes and is a Christmas version of Biggest Wish from the main catalogue. These sets are firm favourites of mine. I adore the big, bold font.

I’m back today with another Christmas card. This one uses the Trucking Along bundle. This is an online exclusive, so you won’t find it in the catalogue. I’ve used it before to make a birthday card.

I do love this little truck and the matching punch. The stamp set really does lend itself to building a scene. These are some of my favourite card styles. You are painting a scene with stamps. The stamp set is a two-step stamping set, giving you the option to colour the images yourself or use the extra stamps to add colour.
