Today I’m sharing these super cute Christmas Candy Cane Pouches — a quick and cheerful project that’s perfect for the festive season. They look gorgeous, yet they come together in minutes, making them excellent for batch-making.

Three Designs, Endless Possibilities

I created three variations to show how easily you can switch up the look simply by changing the cardstock and paper:

  • Real Red + Traditions of Christmas DSP – A bright and classic Christmas design with traditional poinsettias and rich festive tones.
  • Garden Green + Christmas Tags & More DSP – A fun and playful version with candy canes and cheerful patterns.
  • Real Red + North Pole Delivery DSP – A nostalgic, postage-themed design that feels wonderfully whimsical and perfect for gifting.

Each pouch is decorated using a selection of die-cuts from the Christmas Tags & More DSP, along with coordinating Greetings for You cardstock stickers. These elements make decorating quick, easy, and beautifully cohesive.

Simple to Make, Fun to Gift

These pouches hold two candy canes comfortably and can be adapted to suit almost any occasion. You could easily swap the treats for chocolate sticks, mini gifts, pencils, or even a wrapped biscuit. They’re the perfect project if you enjoy creating small, yet meaningful, handmade gifts.

You’ll find that the construction is wonderfully straightforward. All you need is cardstock, your chosen DSP, adhesive, and a few embellishments. I’ll add a full supply list and measurements at the end of this post so you can recreate them exactly.

If you’re a dog lover—or know someone who is—this Christmas card design is sure to make you smile! It’s a cheerful and festive make that captures all the fun and warmth of the season, complete with adorable dogs ready for Christmas delivery.

For this card, I used the Jolly Delivery stamp set to create the cute paw print border—a perfect little detail that ties everything together. I loved mixing and matching the patterned papers to build a layered background full of parcels, letters, and festive greens. The die-cut dogs take centre stage, each full of personality and charm. Whether it’s the playful pup tangled in tinsel or the sweet golden retriever with a Christmas hat, they bring instant joy to the design.

To finish off the cards, I added sentiments from the Greetings for You Ephemera Pack. These sentiment stickers are such a time-saver and add a lovely polished look. A few enamel dots were the final touch for that little bit of festive sparkle.

Measurements

  • Poppy Parade Cardstock – A6 Card Base – This is an A4 sheet cut in half and then folded in half.
  • Basic White Cardstock – 14.35cm X 10cm X 2 pieces
  • North Pole Delivery designer series paper (DSP) – 13.85cm X 9.5cm

This design is perfect for batch-making—especially if you’re sending cards to fellow dog lovers this Christmas!

Revisting Slimline Cards – Make a Christmas Scene Card With Me – North Pole Delivery – Crafting with Ashee – Independent Stampin’ Up! Demo – UK

Create a Festive Slimline Card Full of Christmas Charm

It’s been a while since I’ve made a slimline card, so I thought it was the perfect time to revisit this fun format — and what better occasion than Christmas? Slimline cards offer plenty of room to create a scene, and these festive makes were a joy to design.

For these cards, I used the North Pole Delivery paper collection, which includes two gorgeous die-cut sheets. The pre-printed designs make it so easy to build detailed, layered scenes full of festive character — perfect for anyone who loves storytelling through papercraft.

Creating the Christmas Scene

Both cards feature a cosy Christmas village backdrop complete with shopfronts, wreaths, and snow-topped roofs. The houses instantly set the scene for a festive delivery day at the North Pole!

I added the adorable bear and fox die-cuts carrying letters and parcels, along with extra details like a postbox, truck, and snowy trees to bring the story to life. Each piece layers beautifully, helping you create a charming and balanced composition across the slimline format.

To give the design even more personality, I used the Jolly Delivery stamp set to stamp paw prints along the bottom edge — such a simple detail, but one that ties the whole card together perfectly.

Finishing Touches

For the sentiments, I reached for the Greetings for You ephemera pack. These sticker-style greetings coordinate beautifully with the papers, adding shine and texture without needing extra adhesive. I used “Merry Christmas” and “Season’s Greetings” for my cards — classic festive phrases that complete the look.

The result? Two heart-warming slimline cards that capture all the excitement and warmth of the Christmas season. They’re ideal for sending to family and friends who love the magic of Christmas scenes and animal-themed designs.

measurements

  • Thick Basic White Cardstock – 21cm X 20cm scored at 10cm on the 20cm side.

Why Try a Slimline Card?

Slimline cards are a great way to showcase patterned paper and layered die-cuts. Their longer shape allows for more storytelling space, making them perfect for scenic designs like this one. Plus, they fit neatly into standard DL envelopes — so you can post them easily without needing a custom size.
