Round We Go. Fun Two Step Stamping Card – Make it Now – Birthday Card – Crafting with Ashee – Independent Stampin’ Up! Demo – Lincoln UK.

Looking for a bright and bold card idea? The Round We Go stamp set delivers eye-catching results using a simple two-step stamping technique. Today, I’m sharing two joyful birthday cards that show how versatile and playful this set can be—perfect for any celebration!

What is Two-Step Stamping?

Two-step stamping involves layering two or more stamps to build depth, detail, and dimension. In these cards, I’ve used bold circular bursts as the base image and layered a second coordinating stamp to complete the look. It’s an easy way to add texture and vibrance without needing complicated techniques.

Card One: Cool Tones with Coastal Vibes

This version features a fresh and cool colour palette: Pretty Peacock, Coastal Cabana, and Lost Lagoon. The combination creates a calm yet festive vibe, ideal for birthdays that call for something slightly more understated but still fun. A scattering of stamped stars and enamel dots finishes the background, adding that extra pop of cheer.

Card Two: Bright Bursts of Colour

If bold and bright is more your style, this version in Shaded Spruce, Poppy Parade, and Cherry Cobbler is for you. The red hues really bring the celebratory bursts to life, while the green centres and stamped sentiments in Shaded Spruce tie everything together beautifully.

Sentiment Styling

Both cards feature sentiments from the same set: “HIP HIP HOORAY!” and “HAPPIEST BIRTHDAY”. These are matted on Gold Foil Sheet to help them pop and mounted with dimensionals to give them lift and interest on the card front. The font is crisp and modern—perfect for any age or gender.

Why You’ll Love This Card

This is one of those layouts that you can easily recreate in endless colour combinations. The design is great for batch-making birthday cards, and the two-step stamping technique ensures your cards look professional with very little effort.

Whether you’re new to stamping or looking for a quick project with stunning results, the Round We Go stamp set is a brilliant choice.

Isn’t this little bunny having fun in the rain? It reminds me of children and puddles. They are drawn to them like a magnet. I love watching them so free and happy playing in the puddles. Good fun!!

These images are coloured in using the Stampin’ Blend alcohol markers. They are easy to colour. I made a mask of the bunny rabbit so that I could stamp the raindrops and not have them cover the image. To create the mask I just stamped the image on some masking paper and then fussy cut it out. I save the masks for future use in the front of my stamp case.

This is very simple card to make. You can make a quite a few in a short space of time. Great card to get the kids involved as well. These card fit perfectly in the little card box we made in the last post. Together they are great gift.

This is Focus Friday card. During this month we are looking at different masking techniques. You may wonder where I’ve used this technique in the card above. It was for the sentiment. The original sentiment read “Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year”. I only wanted Merry Christmas and I wanted the word Christmas to below Merry. I masked off parts of the sentiment to achieve this. See the video below to find out how.
