Revisting Slimline Cards – Make a Christmas Scene Card With Me – North Pole Delivery – Crafting with Ashee – Independent Stampin’ Up! Demo – UK

Create a Festive Slimline Card Full of Christmas Charm

It’s been a while since I’ve made a slimline card, so I thought it was the perfect time to revisit this fun format — and what better occasion than Christmas? Slimline cards offer plenty of room to create a scene, and these festive makes were a joy to design.

For these cards, I used the North Pole Delivery paper collection, which includes two gorgeous die-cut sheets. The pre-printed designs make it so easy to build detailed, layered scenes full of festive character — perfect for anyone who loves storytelling through papercraft.

Creating the Christmas Scene

Both cards feature a cosy Christmas village backdrop complete with shopfronts, wreaths, and snow-topped roofs. The houses instantly set the scene for a festive delivery day at the North Pole!

I added the adorable bear and fox die-cuts carrying letters and parcels, along with extra details like a postbox, truck, and snowy trees to bring the story to life. Each piece layers beautifully, helping you create a charming and balanced composition across the slimline format.

To give the design even more personality, I used the Jolly Delivery stamp set to stamp paw prints along the bottom edge — such a simple detail, but one that ties the whole card together perfectly.

Finishing Touches

For the sentiments, I reached for the Greetings for You ephemera pack. These sticker-style greetings coordinate beautifully with the papers, adding shine and texture without needing extra adhesive. I used “Merry Christmas” and “Season’s Greetings” for my cards — classic festive phrases that complete the look.

The result? Two heart-warming slimline cards that capture all the excitement and warmth of the Christmas season. They’re ideal for sending to family and friends who love the magic of Christmas scenes and animal-themed designs.

measurements

  • Thick Basic White Cardstock – 21cm X 20cm scored at 10cm on the 20cm side.

Why Try a Slimline Card?

Slimline cards are a great way to showcase patterned paper and layered die-cuts. Their longer shape allows for more storytelling space, making them perfect for scenic designs like this one. Plus, they fit neatly into standard DL envelopes — so you can post them easily without needing a custom size.

Creating the Card

The focal image on this card was cut directly from the Traditions of Christmas paper using the matching dies. This is one of my favourite tricks for making multiple cards quickly — the paper does all the hard work for you!

Make a Fun Christmas Card With Me – Jar of Joy – Crafting with Ashee – Independent Stampin’ Up! Demo – Lincoln UK.

Today I’m sharing a bright and cheerful Christmas card design that’s perfect for spreading festive joy. This project features the Jar of Joy stamp set with the coordinating Sweet Jar builder punch. I had so much fun creating these cards, and I think you’ll enjoy making them too!

A Playful Jar Design

The Jar of Joy stamp set is a two-step stamp set, which makes it easy to build up fun little festive scenes inside the jars. I chose a mix of images for these cards, from gingerbread biscuits to ornaments and even a sweet little snowman. Each jar feels like a tiny snapshot of Christmas magic.

Colouring with Stampin’ Blends

All the images were coloured using Stampin’ Blend alcohol markers, which give such a smooth and vibrant finish. The markers allow for beautiful shading, bringing the gingerbread man, baubles, and snowman to life with extra depth and detail.

Christmas Tags and More Backgrounds

For the background, I used papers from the Christmas Tags and More collection. These patterns add a festive base to the card while letting the jars really shine as the main focus. I especially love how the plaid and leafy prints create two different but equally joyful looks.

Don’t Be Afraid of the White Space – Elegant Christmas Card – Most Wonderful – Crafting with Ashee – Independent Stampin’ Up! Demo – Lincoln UK.

A Simple Yet Striking Christmas Design

Sometimes, less really is more. This elegant Christmas card shows how leaving plenty of white space can make your design feel modern, fresh, and sophisticated. At 6” x 6”, it’s the perfect size to give your stamped wreath centre stage, while keeping the look clean and uncluttered.

Featuring the Most Wonderful Stamp Set

For this card, I used the Most Wonderful stamp set. The beautiful sentiment has been heat embossed in gold powder, which really adds that festive shimmer and luxury feel. Surrounding the words, the wreath is stamped in Shaded Spruce, bringing a classic Christmas green to the design. The combination of gold and green against crisp white makes this card both timeless and stylish.

Why White Space Works

Many crafters feel the urge to fill every inch of their card front, but white space is a powerful design tool. It draws the eye straight to the focal image—in this case, the elegant wreath and sentiment—while giving the card a balanced, professional finish. Embracing white space can make your handmade cards look effortlessly polished.

A Stylish and Modern Christmas Card Design

The festive season is the perfect time to try out fun and creative cardmaking techniques, and today I’m sharing how to make this elegant Christmas card using the fracture technique. This design adds a touch of luxury and texture while keeping the process simple enough to recreate at home.

The star of the show is the Merry Christmas stamp set, which I’ve heat embossed in shimmering gold for a beautiful, festive shine. Heat embossing really elevates the sentiment, making it the focal point of the card.

Creating the Fracture Technique

The fracture technique gives your project a striking, layered look. By carefully cutting and layering sections of your background paper, you create the illusion of movement and depth across the card front. It’s a wonderful way to add dimension without overwhelming the design.

For this project, I’ve paired the fracture technique with the Elegant Pines Snowflake DSP. The snowy background adds a wintry feel, while the torn edges of the fractured pieces frame the sentiment perfectly. The subtle details help highlight the central stamped greeting, drawing the eye to the golden “Merry Christmas.”

Measurements

  • Basic White Thick Cardstock – A6 Card Base – This is an A4 sheet cut in half and then cut in half.
  • Elegant Pines Snowflake designer series paper (DSP) – 14.35cm X 10cm X 2 pieces

Elegant Finishing Touches

To complete the card, I’ve added a few delicate star embellishments for just the right amount of sparkle. These little accents tie everything together and add to the festive feel.

This card would be perfect to send to loved ones, and the fracture technique is one you can use again and again with different sentiments and patterned papers to create unique designs.

Revisiting the Curvy Box Bag – Beautiful Christmas Bag – Crafting with Ashee – Independent Stampin’ Up! – Lincoln UK

I’m so excited to share today’s project – a festive revisit of the Curvy Box Bag, this time dressed up for Christmas! These bags are such a lovely way to present small gifts or treats during the festive season, and with just a little DSP and cardstock, you can create something both practical and beautiful.

Using Elegant Pines Snowflake DSP

For the base of the bag, I created a sturdy box from cardstock and then wrapped Elegant Pines Snowflake DSP around it to achieve that smooth, curved shape. This gives the bag a polished look while allowing the patterned paper to really shine.

To give the design more structure and detail, I added extra strips of cardstock at the top and bottom edges. This not only strengthens the bag but also frames the DSP beautifully, making the design look even more finished.

Fussy Cutting the Birds

The highlight of these bags has to be the gorgeous birds, which I fussy cut from the Nests of Winter DSP. They add a pop of character and make each bag feel truly unique. Whether it’s the sweet robin or the pair of cardinals, these images bring a warm and festive touch.

Sentiments that Shine

To complete the design, I used sentiments from the Greetings for You Ephemera Pack. They tuck in perfectly with the birds and branches, adding just the right festive message—whether it’s “Merry Christmas” or “Merry & Bright.”

Make a Die Cut Christmas Card. Words of the Season – Just a Note – Crafting with Ashee – Independent Stampin’ Up! Demo – Lincoln UK.

A Handmade Christmas Card with Elegant Die Cuts

There’s something magical about creating handmade Christmas cards, and today’s project shows how you can achieve a festive and elegant look using die cuts. This card features the Words of the Season dies paired with the Just a Note die, which creates the charming torn notebook edge effect. Combined with pretty background paper and metallic accents, it’s a design that’s both fun to make and beautiful to receive.

Make a Die Cut Christmas Card. Words of the Season – Just a Note – Crafting with Ashee – Independent Stampin’ Up! Demo – Lincoln UK.

Creating the Background

For the background, I used the Elegant Pines Snowflake DSP. This patterned paper is full of rich, winter greenery and delicate details, making it a perfect base for Christmas cards. It gives a subtle seasonal touch without overwhelming the focal point of the card.

Adding the Notebook Page Layer

The Just a Note die is one of my favourites—it cuts a piece that looks just like a page torn from a notebook. For this card, it frames the sentiment beautifully, adding a unique layer of interest. It’s such a versatile die that works for many card themes, but here it’s perfect for highlighting festive words.

Words of the Season

The sentiment “Merry Christmas” is die cut using the Words of the Season dies. I used silver foil cardstock for a crisp, shiny finish that instantly adds luxury to the design. The metallic look really pops against the dark patterned background, making the words the star of the card.

Finishing Touches with Foil Stars

To complete the card, I added little stars punched from a gold and silver foil sheet, respectively. These were made using the A Little Cheer punch pack, which includes three small punches—a tree, a stocking, and the star used here. They are the perfect size for embellishments and add just the right sparkle to the card.

A Festive Handmade Greeting

The end result is a modern yet classic Christmas card that combines festive greenery, striking silver words, and small touches of gold. It’s a design you can easily replicate or adapt, and it works beautifully for mass producing your Christmas cards this season.

The Diamond Stepper Card is designed with raised diamond-shaped panels that step up towards the back. This creates a striking, tiered effect that makes your flowers and sentiments the star of the show. It’s a brilliant way to take your cardmaking to the next level.

Two Seasonal Designs

I’ve made two variations of this card—one for autumn and one for Christmas:

  • Autumn Wishes Card – This version is made in Pretty Peacock and Old Olive. The bold teal florals paired with leafy greens give a rich seasonal feel, perfect for sending autumn greetings.
  • Merry Christmas Card – For the festive version, I used Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive. The deep red florals are beautifully traditional and pair perfectly with the greenery and berries in the background.

Florals and Foliage

The layered flowers and leaves are all created using the Impressions Abloom Dies. The detailed embossing on the petals and leaves adds texture and interest, while the crisp white centres give a clean finishing touch.

Sentiments that Shine

Both cards feature large die-cut sentiments from the Words of the Season Dies. The metallic finish makes them sparkle and ensures they really pop against the patterned paper.

Background Paper

The background layers use the Elegant Pines Snowflake Designer Series Paper. This paper features pinecones, berries, and foliage—making it incredibly versatile for both autumn and Christmas projects.

These cards are fun to make and a joy to give. Imagine the delight when your recipient opens an envelope to find such a unique and dimensional card—it’s a keepsake in itself!
