This card features a number of techniques including ink blending, use of embossing paste and colouring with layering stencils. I’ve limited the colour palette to green and blue. This keeps the card calm. The Frosted Forest stencils, stamps and die are easy to use and make beautiful cards. Do have a go.

Many times we forget that we can clear heat emboss with any of the 50 colours of Stampin’ Up! ink. You don’t need to have tons of different powders, just one will do the trick. The stamp set is More Wishes, a firm favourite of mine. I’ve used Cherry Cobbler ink above and Misty Moonlight below. Which looks best to you?

I do love a shaker card. I’ve made quite a few this year. This card features the Merry & Bright bundle. The back panel is just one shaker window but of course, you see three separate shaker windows on the front.

The sequin mix is from stash. I am trying to use what I have and these colours match the card perfectly. The card front is hand-stamped. I love it, so colourful and bright.

The Berry Harvest stamp is a large background stamp. When I saw this one I knew I wanted to watercolour the image. I’ve heat-embossed the image with gold embossing powder. Heating embossing the image makes water colouring easy as the embossing helps you stay in the lines.

For my watercolouring, I used a water painter and my ink pads. Quick, easy and lots of fun. I do painting and colouring, do you?

I love all the different layering pieces to make these gorgeous Christmas lights. The Christmas light bulb is stamped in Real Red, Garden Green and Daffodil Delight. I’ve added extra layering details with the gorgeous silver glimmer paper. The best part of the glimmer paper is that it doesn’t shed glitter everywhere.

I have a question to ask, do you prefer white or coloured lights on the tree? I love the coloured ones more. They are much more cheerful. Let me know your answer in the comments below.

I first made these multi-layer cards when I started to make cards and loved them. I still love them. They are easy to make and have a real wow factor. The stamp set used here is Sparkling Snowflake. Do you like it too?

I used removable adhesive to attach the 3 white layers as one while I stamped the snowflakes. The smallest snowflakes come the Beary Cute stamp set. This card is made in two colour ways. Which do you like best?

I love the Beary Cute stamp set and matching punch. The stamp set has 3 bears and they make a great little family. I used the Basic Border dies to create my snowy bank. The trees are popped behind and in front of the bank to create extra dimension and interest.

These little bears don’t have to be polar bears. They can also be brown bears. I think they would make a lovely child’s card based on the story of Goldy Locks and the Three Bears. Do you agree?

This straightforward card design makes great use of your patterned paper. I have cut the paper at an angle and can use the second piece to make another card. The paper is aptly named, Merry, Bold & Bright. I love this bright dot design, don’t you?

The strings of lights are die-cut with matching cardstock. The dies are the Merry & Bright and they coordinate with both the paper and the stamp set.

I’m so happy with how this card turned out. We made this card in a recent card club, and I wanted to share it with you too. My colour inspiration came from the matching paper, the Merry, Bold & Bright Designer series paper (DSP). I will admit that the silver foil sheet, used for the string and filaments is from my stash and not current.

The silver glimmer paper used for the bulb toppers is adhesive-backed. The backing paper is removed so easily, it’s a dream. It also die cuts well. What colour combination would you use for the lights?

I’m really getting back into making shaker cards, so expect to see more shaker cards and tags on my blog in the run-up to Christmas. This is a card we made in the card club that I host in my Facebook Group.

It is easy to make using the Merriest Tree Dies. Full disclosure, I did use some sequins from my stash for the shaker elements. I have a ton and want to use them up. Do you have anything you are trying to use up from your stash?
