Make a Sunflower Card for a Friend – Celebrate Sunflowers – Sunny Sentiments – Crafting with Ashee – Independent Stampin’ Up Demo – UK

I haven’t used this stamp set in ages. Not sure why as it is such a lovely set. I love this really big sunflower and of course, it has a matching die. I stamped this sunflower in Daffodil Delight. It wasn’t as vibrant as I wanted it to be so I decided to use Stampin’ Blend alcohol markers to add more detail. It really makes a huge difference.

Welcome to this Focus Friday blog post. This month we are focusing on shaker cards. Today we are looking at shaker dome cards. They are really easy to make and add so fun to receive.

The stamp set is Jar of Flowers. Everything has been coloured using the Stampin’ Blend alcohol markers. They are as you know one of my favourite colouring mediums as they blend so well.

Make a Spring Card – Have Fun Colouring with Me – Friendly Hello – Crafting with Ashee – Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator – Lincoln UK

Welcome to another post in my Focus Friday series. Each month I chose a new set of techniques or products to focus on. For the month of February, we are going to be focusing on Colouring. Today’s post is all about colouring with the Stampin’ Blend alcohol markers.

I love this method of colouring as it’s quick and easy. The results are great and there are no lines from colouring to worry about. Stampin’ Blend markers come in a light and dark of each colour making shading and blending so easy. I tend to put down my light colour first and then add accents with a darker one. You do the reverse, of course, it’s what works best for you. As with all colouring take your time, build up the layers and practice makes perfect.

Simple Colouring with Alcohol Markers – Stampin’ Blends – Blessings of Home – Crafting with Ashee – Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator – Lincoln UK.

If you follow my posts you will know I love to colour and paint. I find it so theraputic. It makes me happy. This lovely image is all one stamp from the new Blessings at Home set. It stamps beautifully and is so easy to colour. I’ve used the Stampin’ Blend alcohol markers here as they make blending so easy.

If you are worried about colouring don’t be. Just start playing. Learn from any mistakes you may. Take you time and be easy on yourself. I colour from light to dark but you could equally go the other way. One trick is less is more. It is easy to add more colour but much more difficult to take it away. Just enjoy the process and of course have fun.

See Me Use my Free Stamp Set. Catching Butterflies – Stampin’ Blend Alcohol Markers – Crafting with Ashee – Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator – Lincoln UK.

This is one of the gorgeous stamp sets I got free during Sale-a-bration (SAB). I love it. Such a simple design and perfect for little girl cards this Spring. What is SAB you may ask? SAB is a promotion currently running with Stampin’ Up! where you can get free stamp sets with any purchase over £45.00. Too good to miss out!

I’ve used the Stampin’ Blend alcohol markers to colour this scene in. I limited the colour palette to Reds, Oranges and Yellows to keep the card vibrant and bright. As you know I love colouring so I just relaxed and enjoyed myself colouring this card.

Isn’t this little fellow cute? I love him!! Such a simple card but so pretty. I’ve coloured the otter using just two colours of Stampin’ Blend Alcohol Markers; Balmy Blue and Crumb Cake. There is no sentiment on this card on purpose so it can be used for whatever occasion you chose. Sometimes it’s good to have cards that can fit multiple purposes.

Didn’t this turn out well? I love it. I heat embossed the snowflakes with white embossing powder. This is the best way to get a bright white colour on a coloured background. If you use white craft ink the effect is still muted and not bright white. The snowflake stamp is one little stamp that I stamped and stamped again. Just make sure you keep turning the stamp around to change the orientation. This makes sure it doesn’t look repetitive.

How to Colour the Poinsettia Petals Stamp Set – Crafting with Ashee – Independent Stampin’ Up Demonstrator – Lincoln UK.

I absolutely love the Poinsettia Petals stamp set. It carried over from the catalogue last year and I was so pleased. If you have read my blog before you will know I adore poinsettias and colouring. This card is a match made in heaven for me. I used the Stampin’ Blend Alcohol Markers to colour. I put a talking book and spent a lovely, relaxing time colouring in.

The Stampin’ Blends come in combo packs of a light and dark of each colour. If I wanted more shading I used more than one colour eg I used Real Red and Cherry Cobbler for the red and Olive and Mossy Meadow for the green.

I always make myself a new bookmark for Christmas. This is what I came up with this year. I love this cute Father Christmas from the So Jolly set. He is coloured in using the Stampin’ Blend alcohol markers and then fussy cut. He really pops against the background I think. I added some subtle shimmer sequins for some bling and voila, it’s’ done!!
