Hello,

I hope everyone is having a wonderful bank holiday weekend. We were so lucky to have beautiful sun her last week and the garden is looking great. I have built two mini greenhouses and am starting to sew some lettuces to start off in there and then bring out. The tomatoes are growing well and geraniums are starting to flower.

I have a one sheet wonder bag today for you. This is made from one sheet of 12 x 12 designer series paper. There is no cutting involved so its a a very easy bag for a newbie to make. The colour used is one of our new in colours “Fresh Fig”.

This is quite a big bag so will hold loads of goodies. I love how elegant it looks but also how simple and easy it is to make.

The new Stampin’ Up! catty launches on Thursday 1st June. I am so excited, I just can’t wait. If you haven’t got your copy yet then just click on the request catty button and I will get one right out to you.

Hello,

I hope that you are well. Can you believe it that we are starting to make Christmas cards. Eeek!!! The clocks go back in a few weeks too. It really feels as if winter is on the way and I am starting to feel the cold. I thought I would start my Christmas cards and do something enjoyable on these longer and longer nights.

This is a very simple card made using the Candy Cane Lane washi tape. I like this kind of card as it is the type that you can make in bulk with out too much difficulty. I rediscovered my love of heat embossing too. There is always something magical watching the  powder turn from a dull silver to this bright metallic silver colour.

The accent stars are the metallic enamel shapes. I do love enamel dots. You get a range of designs in one package which is great.

Hello again,

It is a lovely sunny day here in Lincoln, such a treat after all the grey we have had recently. I am still learning to drive. I take my second test on 24th October. My instructor was off on holiday in Portugal last week so I restart my lessons tomorrow.

I have a birthday card to show you today. The stamp set is Painter’s Palette. The easel in the set just seemed to fit an easel card so that is what I made.

I love the stamp set Painter’s Palette as you can use the easel as I have but you can also you the square insert of the easel to make interesting backgrounds. I do love the new colour sweet sugar plum which is the colour of the ribbon used here.

Well I am off to enjoy the sun before it runs away.

Hiya,

I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend. The sun is shining here in Lincoln though I fear its not going to last. I have a cute and simple thank you card to share with you today.

The dimensions for the card are as follows:

• A6 card base from thick whisper white cardstock
• 1 inch width piece of normal whisper white cardstock
• DSP – 14.4cm x 10cm

This card uses the tin of cards stamp set that also coordinates with our tin of cards kit. This is a great kit as with the stamp set it allows you to make 16 cards for a variety of occasions all stored in a lovely tin that you can keep reusing.

The designer series paper is Affectionately Yours. It is great paper pack and includes two speciality papers that are copper foiled. They go great with our copper foil sheets and copper embossing powder, so be sure to check them out.

Hello again,

I have a tutorial today for you. We made this in my craft club a few months ago. It is a very versatile storage box that can be used to store cards you have made, embossing folders or even scraps of card.

This is an easy box to make as you need just one piece of 12 x 12 cardstock to make the basic box. I have two of these boxes in my craft room to store my cards that I have made and another to store cards that I need to blog about.

I have a video on my YouTube channel showing you how to make it. You can see the supplies used below.  The measurements are as follows:

Score:

One side – 6 and 9 inches.

Second side –  1/2 inch, 3 1/2 inches, 8 1/2 inches, 11 1/2 inches.

DSP measurements –

• 7cm x 7cm x 2 pieces
• 7cm x 12cm x 1 piece
